Yes, both are the future of cryptocurrency platform. Now, if you want to make money through these two big coins without trading, then you have to have these coins in your wallet, Not on exchanges. EOS have various wallets and for NEO you can use neotracker as a wallet, but as the crypto market condition is not good, so you have to hold these coins for a long time. For me, both EOS and NEO have the unique platform types as the Ethereum with their own smart contract system. Both are trusted enough with the different price rate. that's true mate since that both altcoin is very promising and has a good team behind . Indeed last year more traders and holders become profitable on it because of massive demand and supply in the market.  By the way i suggest if you're planning to ride on that both coin , make sure to make a research first for the sake of your capital and educate you self first to prevent doing mistakes.  Don't forget the basic rules which "buy low and sell high" avoid being greedy!.

I only know about staking of NEO in some of the websites. They mention that if we have some NEO, we can earn more neo or whatever (I forgot) if we keep that amount in the wallet or the website that offers for staking. Yeah you read it right. In this market there are some coin available which give dividend if you hold them. And neo is one of them in top bracket. If you hold neo you will get gas(neo) every month. Maybe not in a huge amount but you will get it. And for eos there is no dividend. But in other platform based token you will not get that much airdrop or usefully airdrop which will you get in eos. Neo also have good amount of airdrop and one of the best example is intended. And eos has many airdrop. I am a early adopter of eos. I have 90-100 eos. And I already get more than 40 dollar airdrop. It looks like nobody even read OP's message. The question is not about what's better - neo or eos. The question is about earning possibilities with these cryptos. I can't say anything about EOS, but while you have neo there is a pos system that reward you with gas. So yes, it's possible to earn some money with neo, but ofc if it won't be dumped.
