as the tittle says , this is IMO the best website to use to determine what gear you should buy and what to mine when you have it.

The different thing about this website, is that you don't have to enter the hahsrate or know the algo or the coin to mine, so if you are a newbie or you just don't know what ASICs are out there and their hashing power. this is probably the best option for you.

https://www.apanel.com/

it lists all known miners from most profitable to least profitable

by clicking on any miner, you get the specs related to it, such as Algorithm,Hashrate,Consumption,Efficiency, Dimensions and an image of the miner and coins to mine based on most to least profitable.

it even lists the pools that you can mine on. ( but it's missing some pools)

* you should never count on only 1 mining calculator website, use a few of them, compare and always DYOR.
* i am not responsible for anything on that website, use it at your own risk.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Nice addition to my bookmark. Appreciate for spreading the word about it.
I didn't expect any ASIC to make that much in this bearish of a market but I was surprised to know that  Obelisk is making $50/day which is quite good, to be honest.

In my opinion, the best are WhatToMine (I like their telegram bot) and nicehash calculators

One thing that this site does not do is divide the cost of the miner by daily profit to calculate days to breakeven. If it had that, the site would be perfect!

Looks decent. Will check it out! Left crypto scene for a while but I am back and want to start mining again. I heard Grin is a good choice.

Interesting site- I currently use Asicminervalue.com to roughly see miner profitability at any given time, I'm not a big fan of the layout of this site (I feel like Asicminervalue's UI is much more intuitive and easy-to-read), but I'll definitely use it in conjunction with Asicminervalue. Would definitely be nice if you could add in past profitability though; I particularly like to use Asicminervalue because of the past profitability data they provide.

WTM is one of the worst lol.  should be WHAT TO SELL not WHAT TO MINE.   chasing the current most profitable is not the most profitable way to mine.

lol why would I disclose that? To ruin my own profits? This is crypto...once a niche is exposed it’s done and you have to find something else to exploit.
