Yes, I am a newbie here. I was using VirWoX to buy Bitcoin, but they don't accept PayPal anymore and here I am. In my PayPal account I receive money every day from my website and my plan is to use some of them to accumulate Bitcoin. I'm well aware that PayPal is a risky method for buying Bitcoin, but it's also accumulating time and some people just want to buy.

I would send PayPal first as Friends & Family. From what I know, such payment can still be reversed if the money are coming from card or a bank account. But I'm using the PayPal balance and I can show that in TeamViewer or something like that if needed.

Initially I want to try relatively small payments, less than $100. It's risky for me too. I agree to pay some premium until I gain some green Trust Smiley If nothing happens... well, what can I do...

Why do some people have such (large) minimum? I saw this somewhere else and I don't see the logic in this. Both, PayPal and cryptos are very divisible and it's possible to send any small amounts. It's generally a good practice to first try with small amounts. I always do that when I want to try some new exchange for example.

Why do some people have such (large) minimum?

Because they want you send them a large amount of money before they vanish.  Notice only newbies are replying to your post.  Be careful.

Well, obviously I'm also a newbie right now Smiley That's why I want to try small amounts first - for me to feel safer and for the other person as well. This is also how it happened in VirWoX - the first payment I made there was like $20 and I had to wait some time before making another payment.

I will check those private messages. I don't remember disallowing them, this is probably some default setting.

CoinKingHH, I don't mind sending 500€ eventually, when there is a mutual trust. But I think that exchanging smaller amounts is just mandatory for two newbies.

Playboi, what are those items? By the way I don't understand Paxful - when I search in it, all the results I get say "Seen over a week ago", it looks to me like some abandoned place  Huh

Ok, so I sent some money to a scammer. Here are his details:

LigaUIO (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2510207)

email: teneeseusa21@gmail.com
tele @Pikorolitos991
skype live:techviem1
His name in PayPal: Humbertin Proanos

He deleted his posts here.
I'm really not for $25, that's very, very cheap. Someone else wants to scam me?

use escrow.

One item that I am looking for is a wordpress theme from themeforest for example. You make an account there, buy it, email me the item and I release the coins.

Paxful is active. A lot of btc sellers hide their offers from the public and low feedback buyers however.

25$ can go a very long way in certain countries.
I'm not saying you shouldn't trade with newbies, but you should definitely not go first.

Someone else wants to scam me?
You'll gain countless more messages now from newbs who are looking for a quick buck, yes..

(Also, depending on how you send the paypal, there's probably a way to charge it back, if you really want too.)

Nope, there are definitely some legit sellers on there. The problem is that when you go from PP -> BTC, you'll probably pay a fee of ~10-25% (even more if you don't want to verify your ID!)

Playboi, I selected random item in ThemeForest and it looks that they have Handling Fee and VAT for my country. Take a look: http://prntscr.com/mbs0h3 This is 37% extra. The Handling Fee is less % for more expensive stuff, but the VAT is more than 20%. This method is interesting, but it seems to be very expensive Smiley

It looks that I can only send 1 personal message per hour. Even if I get countless messages from newbies, I will not be able to answer to all of them Cheesy

Loki888, I'm looking at the Trust, but his was clear. Now it's red because of me. His account was registered a month ago.

AdolfinWolf, maybe I just need to find some trusted seller with high fees, but I also wanted to gain some Trust here and this takes a topic like this and 6 months  Undecided

EDIT: What the... "You have exceeded the limit of 2 personal messages per day. Buying a Copper membership may increase your limit." I can't communicate with anyone here  Huh

Thats what I have been saying since he scammed me $65 last year March.

R you still selling your LCB account?

Hello buy i have two good acs lbc with excellent rep

Email pls lmxdxdyy02@gmail.com

This idiot is CasinoExpert who hasn't logged into that account since March 28 from getting red trust.
Now he moves on to his other 10 alt accounts to continue to scam members here.

Do not believe this bastard!
HE IS FULL OF SHIT! Tongue

Dont believe this fucker.

Gave me telegram: @FHCP9999 GOING BY THE NAME Francio says he is from Ecuador. Another fucking lie but Spanish just from the names he was giving me earlier (several different email addresses).

He is running a scam here using multiple accounts all linked by this one address:
https://blockchain.info/address/1Q8PWr4LLNqQcqAwMYA8QwEyhpJm9Z7qRm

Just look at all the payments made mine being the last one made.

Other accounts: Humberone, Davidxxx, now these two accounts ComandanteJr and SatleonxD
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1968255 & https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1284494
and alot more.. This is a multiple account SCAMMER who buys accounts then gives himself positive feedback to make it look as if he is trusted. But he is not!!!!!! He is playing on the forums as if it is his playground to steal peoples bitcoin without sending anything back!

Francisco Carjavel is his name he gave out.

Proof!
Hello , send telegram @fhcp9999
This guy is still here scamming people.
I posted on any of his threads and all his over 10 alt accounts I matched him too since then. But alot of them were deleted by mods here.
That was over a year and a half ago and he probably has even more accounts 50-100 alts to continue scamming people for $25 each.
So if you think this is not much multiply this for each person he is scamming here since then and you can see he is probably making a living off of these scammed people and their money! Roll Eyes

I received messages from people, but there is a limit and I can only 2 PMs a day. I'm sorry that I can't answer now. I may give Telegram or Skype later... or not. I'm starting to think that it's better if I am contacted by PM first, so I can see the profile in the forum and investigate it. Meanwhile I did a successful first small trade with a guy who contacted me Wink

@magemist, we learn with our mistakes. Now I understand a little bit more how to spot a scammer in this forum. So I can only thank him. But he could profit more from me if he was a honest trader. $25 will be just the premium that I will give to someone else, many times in the future.

@AdolfinWolf, I think that 25% or more is too much. In VirWoX the fee was... I don't know, maybe 15% or less, depending on the exchange rates. And they were doing this for years! Now they stopped because PayPal dumped them, not because they lost money in countless disputes.

in regards to the extra fee, we can work something out. How much would a $59 USD theme on themeforest cost total from your country? Also, if you have another method of communication - you can let me know and i'll message you my username so we can discuss further

Playboi, $59 theme is $73.20. I think you need someone without these VAT problems, especially if you don't have VAT in your country and those extra % are too much.

I registered Telegram: @WhiteCoconut. How cool that this cute username is available everywhere Smiley

Why do some people have such (large) minimum?
The more will get the more will be benefited. So, scammer will always try to scam as many as possible. So, why not large amount they will try?
