The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier is currently underway at Nepal. Today we had two matches and they were won by Nepal and United Arab Emirates respectively. No surprises here, and these two teams are expected to qualify for the T20 World Cup in 2024. Two more matches remain for today and they will start in around 1 hour from now - Malaysia vs Oman, and Hong Kong vs Kuwait. This is going to be a long tournament, stretching for almost a week. And it is extremely important for all the participating teams to qualify for the world cup, as it will result in a substantial increase in fund allocation from the ICC.

I have a strong feeling that the way Nepal is going they will very soon be a team like Afghanistan. Nepal is located in a region where cricket is the prime support and Nepal is the only country that has not proper representation in ICC events. Recently Nepal participated in Asia Cup and there is strong chance that Nepal will play next year ICC T20 WC. ICC must fund more to teams like Nepal then teams that have expats like UAE.

Zimbabwe vs Namibia fifth match of T20 series will be played today. Both the teams have won 2 matches each and the series is tied. As both the teams are tied 2-2 in the series, today's match is their final match. Since all the matches are played in the same venue, every match is analyzed to show that the team batting later has won. While kuwait failed to chase down the target and only manage to score 150 runs in loss of 8 wickets and loss match by 16 runs short. Kuwait bastmen Muhammed Aslam score a fifity 52 runs in 39 balls and Bilal Tahir score 26 runs in 26 balls. Hong Kong bowling performance is outstanding Aizaz Khan picked up 3 wicket by giving 30 runs and Ayush Shukla picked up 2 wickets by giving 13 runs in 3 Overs. Actually, I do not think Namibia team was in good form and their batting inning performance was not very impressive and they did not play very well in today match against Zimbabwe. In 19th overs things were going into both way but suddenly fall of wickets bring Namibia back into match and Zimbabwe were not able to chase this target Sikandar Raza was big failure in this game which hurt Zimbabwean team they need to improve their quality for having better results.

While chasing down the target Zimbabwe all in just 93 runs in 19.2 overs and lost his match by 8 run short and also lost the series. The second round group phase matches will take place today for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier. So far Oman is leading Group A with 2 wins from 2 matches (Nepal has an opportunity to overtake them, if they win today's match against Malaysia). In Group B, if United Arab Emirates is able to win their match against Kuwait, then they will top the points table. In order to qualify for the T20 World Cup, teams need to enter the final and finish within top-2. Out of the 8 participating teams, only two have native players (Nepal and Malaysia) and I would like to see these two teams in the world cup.
