India is the strongest team in this Asia Cup, the Indian team's squad is full of aggressive players. Due to which Ashwin made this comment because they do not have players who can stand as opponents. The team from Group A will enter the final and whichever team from Group B enters the final, it is very unlikely to compete with India and win. That is why Ashwin made such a comment.

The first T20 match of the England and South Africa series is going to be held today. In the odi  series , we have seen  strange performances from both the teams. Although South Africa won the first two matches, South africa faced a humiliating defeat by 342  runs in the last match. The team will definitely  want to take revenge for this defeat.

Both england and s outh africa have strong and experienced squads. So it is difficult to make predictions about these matches. The chances of winning  are equal for both the teams. That is a good idea. It could make the tournament far more interesting by giving the weaker teams a fighting chance while new Indian players can get some much needed experience to demonstrate their worth.

They should actually use this concept in all big teams like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka etc where new faces can acquire well deserved opportunities.

England lost because of irregular batting. In the last ODI match, we saw England batting brilliantly. But in the first T20 match, we saw England batting poorly again.

The match was delayed due to rain. South Africa scored 97 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 7.5 overs. It was a pretty good total. England needed to score 69 runs in 5 overs to win. 69 runs in 5 overs was not a big target for a team like England. Because every batsman of England is capable of batting at a decent strike rate. Even then, England could only score 54 runs in 5 overs, losing 5 wickets.

Except for Jos Buttler, no other batsman played well. Buttler played an innings of 21 runs from 11 balls. Marco Jansen and Corbin Bosch took 2 wickets each.

It's true. We criticize the Bangladesh team, but it's not like we're happy when they lose. As always, they are criticized out of a lot of heartache for their poor performance.
I would be happy if Bangladesh not only reached the semi-finals but also won the Asia Cup for the first time in the final match. We have seen Bangladesh lose by just 1-2 runs in the semi-finals and finals before. But if we come to reality, I have doubts whether the Bangladesh team will be able to do that with the form they have at the moment.

This looks a valid argument considering how weak every other Asian teams are compared to India but we also should not forget that competitiveness is not the only reason for hosting a regional championship. These championship aims to introduce even the weaker teams to the good ones.
If things gets right, teams like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka could give it a tough day. While teams like Hong Kong, UAE and Oman could get close to teams like Afghanistan and Bangladesh.

I am also thinking the same things but after two over I am seeing that Hong Kong is trying to scoring some good run and maintaining their run rate above the six. 
Although based on just two overs, we cannot say what kind of overall performance they will have, but since it is a batting friendly ground, Hong Kong may have been able to score some runs early on, even though they have already lost one wicket.
Unless Hong Kong performs unexpectedly well, I don't think they can beat Bangladesh in this match.

Tanjim Hasan Shakib and Taskin Ahmed have taken two wickets, both of which are among the attacking batsmen of the Hong Kong team. Bangladesh is currently putting Hong Kong under a lot of pressure from the bowling side, as they have scored 31 runs for the loss of two wickets in five overs. Hong Kong will not be able to perform well under the pressure of wickets, because the partnership that Hong Kong currently has, Zeeshan Ali and Nizakat Khan, will almost completely destroy the attacking batsmen of the Hong Kong team.

Considering the talent pool, india can definitely put up 2 good team and possibly 3rd okayish squad as well but that's been a case for sometime now.

Good for a discussion but not a practical thing to do imo and won't be fair to other teams. Although Africa -Asia cup  sounds good to my ear.
