The allegations against him may or may not be true. But why mix sports with politics? I was referring to the time when he got banned by the BCB. At that time, he was not involved in politics. But he was unfairly treated by the BCB despite being the best player in Bangladesh at that time. What you are referring to happened very recently. He joined politics when his career was almost over. But during his peak years, the BCB never fully utilized his potential. And it is not just Shakib. The BCB ruined careers of so many other players. Their bowler did not put much pressure owing to which their players got a big target and at that time it looked like they would lose but their players scored runs with better performance and achieved this winning. The struggle with which ST players have made this target has been made with hard work and owing to their bad bowler they got defeated. SS players scored 191 runs while playing very fast and achieved win. The kind of performance their players showed did not put any pressure from ST bowler which is why it became a defeat for them. This game was very affected by the performance and struggle of both the sides and the better work of SS gave them strength. You are absolutely right Sidney Thunders were invited to bat first and Mathew Gilkes and David Warner started the batting on their behalf and while establishing a partnership of 56 runs between the two Mathew Gilkes lost his wicket but his partner David Warner continued to play till the end of the game and seemed to be working the hardest.
