Lankans won it very dominating way with 2 overs to spare and 8 wickets in hand. I didn't expect this kind of domination from Lankan and Nisanka is already on the process of becoming one of the greatest in SL history and he is also the one who brought 1st ton of this WC at 200.

Aussies on the other hand making worst history, who is known for dominating when it comes to ICC tournaments is at the risk of exiting in the league stage itself.

Usually, catches win matches but these kind of matches will boost the overall confidence of the team and can even be a reason to win tournaments. The SL team is getting better is good for the game of cricket because only 5 or 6 teams aren't interesting, we need more good teams to increase the competition.

I am not saying they are in the level of those teams but on the process of making such one, in the next couple of years with consistent performance they can become one too.

Today's match against Australia was really worth watching for the batting performance of the Sri Lankan team. Pathum Nissanka must be praised for his batting performance, he is a reliable and important batsman of Sri Lanka. Many people have been really disappointed in today's match against the Australian team and his performance. Initially, the team's batting performance was very good, but after the opening two wickets fell, the pace of the Australian team's game changed a lot. Due to which the Australian team could only collect 181 runs, although the Australian team was very confident of winning. However, the Sri Lankan team's batsmen were able to meet the target of the Australian team very easily, they lost only two wickets and won by a huge margin of 8 wickets. The Sri Lankan team won this match and is at the top of their Group B points table and they have qualified, the performance of the Sri Lankan team was really great.

I was very disappointed with the performance of the Australian batsmen today. After a good start they couldn't muster 200+. Two openers scored 50+ today. Australia managed to collect 104 runs from the opening pair. But Australia lost all their wickets to collect 181 runs. It was a batting friendly pitch. Even then they failed to do well.

Sri Lankan opener Pathum Nissanka played an incredible innings today. He was unbeaten scoring 100 runs off 52 balls. Also Kusal Mendis was able to play an innings of 51 runs. No Australian bowler can do well in this match either. Even experienced bowlers like stoinis and zampa are not bowling well.

In T20 World Cup Afghanistan defeated UAE by 5 wickets. UAE opens inning first with Aryansh Sharma and Muhammad Waseem and both the openers don't give a good start to the team and Waseem scores only 10 runs but Sharma losses his wicket early on duck and in middle order Alishan Sharafu played a well knock of 40 runs and also Shoaib Khan played a well innings of 68 runs and at the end of the innings UAE set a strong target of 161 runs. Afghanistan opens inning with Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran and among the openers Zadran gives a positive start to the team by scoring 53 runs but Gurbaz  losses his wicket early on duck and in middle order Darwesh Rasooli played good inning of 33 runs and also Azmatullah Omarzai played a well knock of 40 runs and Afghanistan can easily chase the target successfully

At the end, when Faheem was out, the Pakistan team understood that nothing had happened and it was again a defeat and nothing else. Due to early dismissals and bad decisions, Pakistan lost the game, and since the T20 format started, Pakistan beat India just a single time in 2021 under Babar Azam's captaincy, and then it never happened again.

The rivalry between India and Pakistan is not the same as before.
It is almost certain that India will beat Pakistan. Winning one match against India in all these years is not something credible. Sri Lanka flew past Australia by gap of eight wickets to reach Super 8s on back of incredible not out hundred by Pathum Nissanka, first hundred in contest. Australia began on good start as they made 104 run opening pairing but they fell apart badly in hands of the spin bowlers of Sri Lanka and all their ten wickets were lost for extra 77 runs and they ended at 181 runs. Sri Lanka concede just 71 runs in last 10 overs and then batsmen have done a marvellous job. Pathum Nissanka deserved to be having century in this match, it's first in this ICC event by any batsman.

Now after today game, most chances India, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies will be going through into top 8 without losing any game while next teams could be Pakistan, England, New Zealand and Zimbabwe are favourites to enter where India and South Africa may make into final whereas West Indies could be a surprise package in between. I thought Australia would win against Sri Lanka but Australia disappointed everyone. Actually what is the reason for Australia's poor performance? They got whitewashed against Pakistan in the last series and lost against teams like Zimbabwe and yesterday they lost against Sri Lanka. If we look at Australia's performance in the last few matches, they have lost 5 out of the last 6 matches and won only 1 match.
Now what is the reason for Australia's defeat yesterday? The batting line was not very bad, but if they could have done better towards the end, then they could have scored 200+. Uneven performance of Pakistan that saw it beat Netherlands by clear win and then lose Indian match completely has left many wondering whether team can handle pressure of big games. In as much as the off field drama involving PCB gave it much of stress, actual game was pretty much of same story where main players, such as Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi, could not find their best form when it was most needed. Why was there need for Shaheen Shah to dilver the last over when that time the spinners were defending good. I think when the game was on 17th over, that time Pakistan should had given over to Salman Ali Agha over Shadab Khan but bad captaincy there.

In the next over gave to Usman Tariq, good but I think the next over to go with Shaheen was really bad, now you may say this was not the close game one sided so those maximum 15 to 20 runs have no value in game and that has value that player could play with good mind set.

Most of the people from us were expecting that Abhishek Sharma might smash early because last time when he faced Pakistan thrice in Asia Cup he did that and from the Pakistan side, expecting good game from Farhan but also he did nothing special and after several dot balls, he got out. When I Saw Salman Getting ready to bowl the first over I felt something and thought he will take a wicket, and that's what he did. It was a pitch for spin and Salman was an unexpected person to bowl so He caught the batters off guard and Took a Wicket. After the wicket we all hoped that the Indian team will now just get on the back foot and play calmly and slowly but the very next over Shaheen Get slammed. I think shaheen and Babar shouldn't be included in the Team more. They have been for ages but have only a few good performances. The young players should be given a chance. Pakistani team is now at their lowest level due to the worst selections and poor management of PCB they are having biased system which is helping few players despite their worst performance for me Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan are not fully fit for this squad, but they are permanent members.
Too many players in pipeline without any chance because they are having not enough sources to join cricket at biggest level in Pakistan where merit is not policy for years just personal links works for having spot at top level hopefully things will be take changes and this team will be fight back but for them need good fit players.

Australia were pretty much eliminated when they were beaten so badly by Sri Lanka earlier and the washout between Zimbabwe and Ireland 100% assured that. This current gen of Australian players pretty much suck and Maxwell really needs to retire from all forms of cricket.

Crazy seeing Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe qualify for the super 8 so convincingly. Excited to see which team(Big or Small) will end up winning the trophy.
