If India beat Zimbabwe today, which seems likely, and South Africa also manage to defeat Zimbabwe, then India vs West Indies clash would effectively become a virtual knockout for a semi-final spot.

If India can beat Zimbabwe by a huge margin in today's match, then they might still have a chance of qualifying for the semi-finals. However, that match will depend on the match between West Indies and India.
The way South Africa is performing, South Africa will qualify, but it will be a tough competition between India and the West Indies, where I see more potential for India.

I went for a short vacation, where there is no service available on most networks so didn't even track the scores so if the match is do or die between India and Windies then it's a relief. And finally Indian batting order found their ryhtm, no need to rebuild their innings from 2 or 3 wickets in the powerplay.

Sri Lanka were officially kicked out to take part in their own World Cup on reason of terrible 61 runs loss to New Zealand, in which they had gone so far ahead of game in first place. Having Kiwis in serious trouble at 84/6, Sri Lankan end bowling failed, and New Zealand scored well before Lankan batting list failed badly with only 107 runs.
I agree that team is totally lost without Pathum Nissanka who went out without scoring and his lack of attacking during powerplay was sad to home country. This huge win improved Net Run Rate of New Zealand to +3.050, which basically hurt Pakistani because they now had to be beaten badly by England just to stay alive. As you thought bowlers of New Zealand were weak, I think that they showed top play on difficult pitch, while Sri Lanka only played too much in fear of losing.

Yesterday, after having a good start, Sri Lanka got early wickets and their spinners defended the score well. Yes, this game was very important for India and they won it. I was expecting good effort from Zimbabwe team but they lost this game. India vs Zimbabwe game, today 48 th game of ICC Men World Cup series was played and this game was held at MA Chidambaram Stadium. Zimbabwe team won toss and they elected field first and gave batting line to India team. India team set 256 runs target in 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. Sharma today batted so well and he made brilliant half century 55 runs in 30 balls and hitted four 4s and four 6s. Hardik also helped a lot team to win game and he made 50 runs in 23 balls and hitted two 4s and four 6s. Zimbabwe batsmen chased 184 runs only and lost important game by 72 runs. Brian Bennett...take a bow! Dude has been on fire for his team throughout the tournament and he is definitely an asset for Zimbabwe and franchise teams. Dumdum DK(Sucking as a commentator btw) didn't like the anchor role that he plays and he probably feels embarrassed now.

So far in Super 8, team Zimbabwe faced two teams, India and the West Indies, and both of the teams scored up to 250 while setting their target, and of course they failed to chase it down even if they would play with the run rate of 12, it was a hard and impossible challenge for them.
Next game of Zimbabwe against South Africa, I am just hoping that Zimbabwe will achieve their next milestone by beating South Africa, no matter if this game does not have any impact on their journey in the group stage.
