Lol, people were taking NZ lightly, but right now they are having upper hand or more like literally has game in their hands unless they fumble in batting somehow and this is despite NZ dropping a few catches.

Teams are playing semifinals and due to this I strongly believe no team is weaker because it's all about the potential. South Africa always face pressure in big games, while New Zealand is showing spirit to fight today.

The important toss was won by New Zealand, they take early wickets, which put pressure on South Africa and worked for New Zealand at the end of 16 overs, they have Tristan Stubbs and Marco Jansen on the crease, both trying their best to have a decent total on board, but New Zealand is having good control of the match.

Anything less than 170 is going to be favourable for New Zealand because the dew factor is also important during bowling in the second inning. How things will work is going to be really exciting.

Today is a big day and 1 st semi final game between New Zealand and South Africa has started and toss btw both teams has also taken place and NZ team won toss and they got chance to take first field or batting line and NZ team elected fielding lineup first. SA batsmen is playing their turn and they lost 2 big player De Kock and Ryan. De Kock made 10 runs in 8 balls and hitted one 4s and one 6s. Ryan batted so poor on this big game and he scored 0 runs today. Aiden and Dewald is batting now and In this game, predicting winner is very difficult task. Sometimes it is very easy to predict winner of game by looking at team’s past effort and their points but in this 1 st semi final both teams have worked very hard to qualify in this stage. It is not right to make prediction at start of game and even now South Africa winning chance are 50,50.

I think New Zealand to lose this game, this is the very big match and they are doing misfielding, dropping the super easy catches how is that even possible  
 
New Zealand mainly knows for their wonderful fielding skills and now when the game is crucial , do or die, this loss may finish the journey of NZ in this World Cup but still, however South African batters are almost settled now they have to take quick wickets any of them either Dewald Brevis or Aiden Markram.

Marco freaking Jansen...Epic! Dude single-handedly is taking his team to a reasonable(probably) par total which should be enough considering their great bowling lineup. Maharaj isn't in great form, but there's Rabada, Ngidi etc who have been bowling really well so far.

Looks like 170s will end up being the target. Let's see if the Kiwis can chase this or not. This could turn out to be a thriller people.

Edit: Holy cow! Unpredictable T20 format as usual. Didn't expect Proteas to get screwed so badly. Congrats Kiwis! Wonder if England will produce an upset too.

I didn't take any team lightly, but the way discussions went around, people considered this game to be a cake walk for SA.

I expected to see South Africa in the final. But they started very badly against New zealand. Even then the team was able to provide the target of 170 runs. But it does not seem possible to win against New zealand at this target. New zealand's batting order is very strong. Both the openers are batting very aggressively. They collected  37 runs in 3  overs without losing any wicket. Finn Allen scored 13 runs off 5 balls and Tim seifert scored 24 runs off 13 balls at the crease. The match is under  the control of New zealand. New zealand will get an easy win if they don't lose quick wickets.

This will be pressure test at Eden Gardens where Proteas will be required to get rid of their named quitter label against New Zealand side, which has been known to knock them out in three straight World Cups. I think you are right about India vs. South Africa final in Ahmedabad, but this is based on India winning match with an undefeated England and South African team winning against their usual knockout weakness in current time.

I think South Africa International cricket team made 15 to 20 runs short because that was a batting wicket and they could not make good runs in last over and Henry took 2 important wickets in the last over which was match changing step in this match. Mitchell Santner did excellent bowling in this match because he gave only 25 runs in this match and did 4 overs in this match and Ferguson performance was also brilliant in this match because he took 2 wickets in this match and gave only 29 runs in this match. Tristan Stubbs played very slow in this important match because he played with strike rate of 120 in this match and he should try to hit boundaries which he could not in last overs and he gave wicket in second last over when it was a time to hit long sixes and Jansen could not hit sixes in last over and that is a reason they could not make 180 runs in this match.

This is not the first time we are seeing South Africa stumble in the semi-finals. We have seen this many times in the past. The team performs incredibly well in the first round. And we started thinking that South Africa is a worthy contender for the World Cup. But they performed badly in the semi-finals.

South Africa's top order played very badly against New Zealand. If they had not played Marco Jansen's unbeaten innings of 55 runs, they would have been defeated even more badly. Along with the batsmen, South Africa's bowlers also performed very badly. No bowler could do well. They could only take 1 wicket. Corbin Bosch gave away 35 runs in 2 overs. Experienced bowlers like Marco Jansen gave away 53 runs in 2.5 overs. The final will probably be played between New Zealand vs India.

We are going to see tomorrow's semi final between India and England for another time, it is kind of hat trick for them to play three semi finals in a row, before in 2022 , they played against each other and England really played very well, such an great innings by the bat of Buttler and then in 2024 we have seen them facing to each other again but this time India won the match and played the final and now it is for the third time and it will be history in the making. New Zealand played great today South Africa is very good in cricket especially in T20 but they did not play well in today's match with New Zealand where South Africa scored 159 runs in full 20 overs while New Zealand scored 173 runs in just 12.5 overs there is a big difference and New Zealand won the match by just one wicket and this is a very good performance for New Zealand I did not expect such a good performance from them. Many of us assumed that the South African team would win this semi-final match against the New Zealand team but that was not possible. The New Zealand team gave an incredible performance against the South African team, although I will not talk much about the bowling performance but their batting performance was mind blowing in one word.

Because despite the event target of 170, they completed the target in almost half of the innings and at the same time they had 9 more wickets left in hand. We must praise the New Zealand batsman Fin Allen, he scored a quick century in 33 balls, which is usually very rare. Now let's see if they can keep this performance into the final match.
