Unfortunately, all the final matches I have enjoyed till date have been full of uneven competition. Today's match was also like that, India batted first and set a target of 255 runs, where they defeated New Zealand by a huge margin of 96 runs. Where New Zealand could not compete with India. The batting and bowling performance of India and the team is very good today they are bowling with confidence and have put the New Zealand team under pressure very soon. The way they have batted, the New Zealand team can be all out very soon and they can lose this final match by a huge margin.

Final game of ICC Men's T20 World Cup series between India and New Zealand teams was played today and this final game and Final Trophy was won by India team. Congratulations India team won final game ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In this final game, New Zealand team won toss and they elected bowling first and gave batting line to India team. India batsmen set 255 runs target in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Sanju again performed very well and he made 89 runs in 46 balls and hitted five 4s and eight 6s. Ishan and Abhishek both were also helped a lot team to win this game and Abhishek made 52 runs and Ishan scored 54 runs. New Zealand failed to beat India team and Tim effort in opening was great but mostly their batsmen showed poor struggle and made few runs. Bumrah got player of game award because his bowling effort was brilliant and he took down 4 wickets in 4 overs and gave 15 runs.

I also agree that game became one sided when India set top total of 255/5, with great 89 run turn of Sanju Samson and fast fifty turn by Abhishek Sharma. New Zealand could not handle such scores on board and finally all out at 159, due to bowling turn of Jasprit Bumrah who had 4 wickets and low cost of 15 runs. I think India was more at ease on Ahmedabad field and 130,000 fans were their help which gave them huge planning help, letting them play with no fear and keep their spot as most strong T20 team in world.

Margin of close to 100 runs in T20 cricket is like having a margin of 250 runs in ODI cricket. It was one of the most one-sided matches I have ever watched. It could have been better if South Africa had qualified for the finals instead of the Kiwis. New Zealand was unable to offer any sort of resistance, and India was well ahead at each and every stage of the match. BTW, from what I heard the attendance was close to 90,000, although the official capacity was 130,000. And this can be expected, as the incompetent BCCI made the last section of seats available only a few hours before the match started.

Indian teams seems undefeatable now. They lost the ODI world cup finals but they are undefeated in other tournaments now. There seems no any opponent capable to defeat them. New Zeland had a great team in the world cup performed very well and near their major title but they couldn't stop the Indian batsmen. 200+ is a huge target and a large mental burden for any team to perform.

Actually most people thought India would be the champions and in the end that's what happened. New Zealand performed well in the semi-final but their bowling line was very bad in the final match. Lockie Ferguson in particular bowled very badly, he bowled 48 runs in two overs, 4 runs per ball, lol. Sanju Samson helped India a lot in reaching the final and becoming the champion, he has performed consistently well in the last 3 matches which is very commendable. Anyway, although I had India ahead and thought the match would be competitive, I did not expect the match to be one-sided. In the end, India has become the champion for the third time, congratulations to India.

Think Jasprit Bumrah was a good shout for man of the series as well. I can't recollect him going for runs at all. Against really good batting teams as well. Nobody in the tournament was more rock solid than Bumrah. Sanju only showed up in the latter stage of the tournament as the team still believed in him to deliver when needed. Which he thankfully did.

What do you mean by this? He only showed up!!!  If he was not selected at all, how could have he showed up? He played consistently amazing. he score 321 runs (in only 5 innings) with 80+ average. He clearly deserved the man of the tournament, I would even argue for man of the match for final. Awarding Bumrah the man of the match is just unnecessary act of balancing thing out.

To be honest, the results of this T20 World Cup were also expected in advance in the minds of the general public that it might be one-sided like the Asia Cup. The Indian team, being the most favorite, won there as well, and they won here as well. The only team that could defeat the Indian team in this tournament was the South African team. Unfortunately, the South African team lost to the New Zealand team in the semi-finals, otherwise I would have hoped that there was a team that could defeat the Indian team.

Yes, cricket is a game of uncertainty, but in this case, New Zealand is perhaps the most unlucky team because they have played the finals of major global tournaments several times but have not been able to win any of them. They lost to Australia in the 2015 ODI World Cup, then they lost to England again in the same miserable way, and again they lost to India in the T20 World Cup final, that is, how can they not handle the pressure of a final match well and why can't they perform well in the final match. However, there is no doubt about this that India is now the strongest team in the cricket world, especially since Gautam Gambhir took charge of the Indian team, one Indian cricket team after another has been getting success and this success may continue in the future.

The redemption of Sanju is another level and I would give Man of the series for the consistency of Cheta.

Yes, cricket is a game of uncertainty, but in this case, New Zealand is perhaps the most unlucky team because they have played the finals of major global tournaments several times but have not been able to win any of them. They lost to Australia in the 2015 ODI World Cup, then they lost to England again in the same miserable way, and again they lost to India in the T20 World Cup final, that is, how can they not handle the pressure of a final match well and why can't they perform well in the final match. Since the match was on the home ground of India it was never been acceptable to lose in those matches.  India really has to be praised for playing very well. Their chances of reaching the semi-finals were very slim but they made a comeback in the way they played three consecutive matches, scoring 250+ runs in all the matches which is really commendable.

But I feel much worse about the loss to England than the loss to New Zealand. But New Zealand didn't perform very well yesterday and as a result they were all out for 159 runs.

But it was sad too see arshdip Aggressive behavior towards Mitchel just cause of hi hit two sixes. Even thoigh newzeeland was out of the match , it was not necessary to that throw.

The flow of the run hadn't stopped for India in the entire match. New Zealand bowlers were unable to create pressure on Indian batsmen by any means. The match could have been competitive if the target was between 190 and 210 runs. It is rare to see a competitive match in T20 format when the target reaches above 230 runs. The result of the final would have been same if there were any other team instead of New Zealand in front of the big target.

In super eight game between India and SA at Ahmedabad, SA won the toss and they decided to bat first and India lost that game. Now yesterday at same ground, NZ won the toss and they decided to bowl first which to me is not a good decision. India has a strong batting lineup and by allowing them to bat first you are giving them a chance to pose big target and Indian batting lineup availed that chance very well. NZ mostly give such performance in the finals and you are right that if its SA then we might be able to see a balanced match.

After the dismissal of Finn Allen, none of the top attacking batsmen of the New Zealand team could hold the game permanently. Due to which the wickets of the New Zealand team kept falling one after another, and after the top batsmen were dismissed, the New Zealand team was almost deprived of victory.
And in the end, the New Zealand team lost by a huge margin, here the Indian team has performed aggressively in both batting and bowling. Because the proof that the Indian team can win this match is seen in the wicket collection of these two players, Patel and Bumrah.

By the way I think the problem starts when the toss won by New Zealand and they choose to field first and that was one of the worst decision ever taken by the captain because when they had a great opportunity to bat on the flat pitch and this match was scheduled at Ahmedabad that is known for its flat pitches and batting friendly but still they have choose to bowl first and challenged themselves. But what's concerning is that why would New Zealand Bowl First Having Batting as their strength on this Pitch and why would they Bowl first on this Pitch to a Team Who's Batting is arguably the Best. If they Chose bowling then they atleast should've had a plan, they were bowling in a very unorganised manner and the captain made bad decisions. Many people are accusing them of Fixing but I don't think that's could be the case in such professional level and also at the stage of WC final. Overall, kudos to Indian team. They are having a blast in Cricket world in recent years.

Yeah. Sanju was phenomenal during the critical phase of the tournament, but he is one heck of an inconsistent player which is why I always see him as an average batter. Players like Tilak are far more consistent and better overall. Bumrah is special, but not man of the tournament for me.

That's Will Jacks who contributed really well with both bat and ball throughout the series. Love his consistency too these days.
