Will Amazon accept crypto if Bitcoin skyrocket again?

i am not sure they will accept bitcoin. because bitcoin is not proper to pay. its network size and transaction speed is so low. fees are so high. but they can use an alternative cryptocurrency token for the payments.

I don't find they've got issues with the transaction speed and all. For any business acceptance volatility is the big feature that is prioritized. With bitcoin the volatility will be there throughout and earlier for purchasing on Amazon some third party service wallet support purse.io was their, but the access is provided for limited products.

Once amazon accepts some kind of cryptocurrency for payments towards their services even if it is creating their own then the use of it will increase the interests of bitcoin. Because it is what each cryptocurrency coin follows based on its value.

What I doubt of they will accept crypto why dont they just make their own coin instead of usong bitcoin? I know they of course be able to accept bitcoin technology but they can be able to get more if they can manage their own coin. I am sure many of people want to invest and using their coin instead of just using bitcoin. And everyone sure using amazon like their daily needs so whether the price is going to skyrocketting again or not does not giving them anything to worry about

Amazon is a market leader and they are under no obligation to accept Bitcoin or any other crypto-currency. Why they should accept crypto, when their user-base is already saturated?

Amazon won't accept bitcoin in near future they may develop their own cryptocurrency having their own cryptocurrency open up lot of opportunities for them

Amazon is the market leader in the online marketplace. Even with the fiat acceptance through different gateways it is the leading marketplace with all needs of people fulfilled. If it has got plans for acceptance of bitcoin long back itself this could have come to implementation. With this I believe it'll not get into direct acceptance, maybe through some intermediate services can expect acceptance in the future.

Price action does not equate utility. Amazon will accept Bitcoin payments if and only if substantial people, the merchants and the buyers, are clamoring for adoption of crypto payments specifically, Bitcoin.

Guys problem isn't unstability of Bitcoin's price. To be fair you are requesting bitcoin payment from company that promotes it's own amazon payment and for this, offers 25$ and higher amount of money as a bonus. Also there isn't so huge demand and there isn't any opponent market that accepts bitcoin and sinks amazon/ebay/aliexpress that way. So not enough demand as for now + not enough regulations on bitcoin overally (hope you understand what I mean), such a huge company can't accept it so easily.

Guys problem isn't unstability of Bitcoin's price.

But being unstable is also the one that merchants consider before they accept such bitcoin as a payment method because merchants will be having a hard time to adjust the price of their items  . this can also give them losses if ever the item sold at a cheaper price but the price of bitcoin rise after the transaction  .

They are the market leader that soon will adopt cryptocurrency because they have to adopt new technologies for them to also grow. There’s no obligation to accept crypto, we are just starting to encourage everyone to adopt because we believe in cryptocurrency. Don’t worry, bigger companies will make move to adopt cryptocurrency and it would be great if Amazon too.

I think Amazon don't need cryptocurrency because what they have now is more than enough to make their platform successful. Maybe in the future they appreciate the benefit of bitcoin but of course many things will be consider before they can used cryptocurrency.

if that so, if their interest in using blockchain technology is very high then the chance of using crpyto as mode of payment transaction is clear. Maybe they will create their own coin and ofcourse some coins available in the market will took place in their medium too. Amazon is a good company and they wont let their company left behind in this kind of industry.

I do think it is not more about the price. Stability is important. With prices going up more like it is pumped up artificially, the lesser will be the acceptance possible. It is for certain that they do know the idea that when a coin value goes up artificially it is possible that they will be considering a possible decrease as people who are holding the coin will sell their coins. So I believe that will not be the case.

Im pretty sure this thing will happen in the future remember when steam accep bitcoin as a payment method for cashing in steam wallet funds,i think what they did is just a dry run on how will it operate and amazon for sure will do this too

I saw one thread in the Bitcoin Discussion about Amazon accepting crypto-->https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5135039.0. It's not a direct bitcoin payment though. You have to used a browser extension before you can used it to buy Amazon stuffs.
