Coming from German site "All about Samsung" the leaked images are described as "prototypes" - so assuming they're legitimate, it's worth noting this is far from the final version.

While there's no shortage of wallet options for mobile devices, there's one fairly huge advantage to the manufacture building it as opposed to using a downloadable app - this cryptocurrency wallet can use Samsung's hardware biometric security.

So far (as you can see in the image above) the only cryptocurrency listed as 'supported' is Ethereum. Safe to assume this includes all ERC20 tokens, so that's several thousand to begin with. Also safe to assume that Bitcoin will be supported by launch.

Source and the whole story can be found here:

Thanks for the share up.! I already read up some leaks about S10 launch but i didnt able to read up about on having a cryptocurrency wallet. This would be good for those people
who do have plans to upgrade their mobile phone specially to those who do have knowledge about crypto and this phone is a plus but i dont see that this would be the selling point. Its just an add up
but isnt a bad recognition of samsung company though.

Exactly, I have been reading news about this S10 on lots of tech related websites and I can't find any one of them mentioning about this new release having a crypto embedded wallet or something so this might be just a marketing.

And I have said in the previous thread, I would go and buy hardware wallet which cost less than this high end phone, plus it will be always online so it's not safe at all.

People used it or not, just marketing or not, it's still good even best publicity of bitcoin/cryptocurrency with one of the best and largest phone manufacturers. If a prominent/influential/famous company use and trust some things/technology I bet more people will do the same.

Still, I will not use it, not a fan of Samsung phones btw.  Grin

the rumors about an integrated hardware wallet in the S10 initially surfaced last month. they already publicly denied the rumors. these were samsung's exact words:

“Unfortunately we are unable to provide any information as the below is rumor and speculation.”

And I have said in the previous thread, I would go and buy hardware wallet which cost less than this high end phone, plus it will be always online so it's not safe at all.

i suppose it's a similar risk to plugging a hardware wallet into a compromised online PC. right?

Still, I will not use it, not a fan of Samsung phones btw.  Grin

same. i'm a huawei convert. awesome quality, much cheaper price......

Yeah the chance is still the same but the difference between making transactions or storage to a device which actively connects with a network
would be different to a single plug of a hardware.

No doubt for huawei but still my heart belong to Xiaomi. Top tier specs with mid tier price which i couldn't ask for more  Grin

It doesn't have any access to the funds on the device itself when it's plugged into a compromised PC. In case of the Ledger Nano S (and very likely other hardware wallets), you have to confirm and approve outgoing transactions manually, so there is no way a hacker can initiate and approve a transaction on his own, so there is zero risk here.

The main risk pretty much comes down to malware changing the recipient address in your web browser in an instant, and you from there manually approve the transaction because the hacker's address is all that you have seen, so you automatically assume that it is the correct one.

People blindly assume that their hardware wallet will protect them against any possible threat, but that's obviously not the case. Common sense and a clean PC is still required.

Yep, cheaper price but its specs topped its competitor's unit and I've been using my xiaomi phone in years already.

Even using any platform, people should primarily secure their device first before installing any app or injecting their hardware wallet into them even hardware wallets are said to be immune to any malware.
