I will start investing in ICOs if
1) they can afford funds on there own to run there projects and stop relying on softcaps and hardcaps(investors money) which is why its the perfect haven for scammers ,you want to create a project that is very promising and you don't have the funds just move on ,no matter how good the project is if the hardcap is not achieved its goodbye

2)the waiting game is annoying ,if they follow my 1st idea there won't be anything holding them back especially bounty rewards ,nowadays you have to wait months for ICO to end and keep praying it become successful so as to get your rewards and the term successful from any ICO is from 'achievement of hardcaps ' this days not what the project is here to deliver ,there are still good projects out there that never launch ICO and they are doing better

ICOs are not one simple entity. Some companies/coins will be scam, others not. ICO is a type of funding mechanism. You just have to look for a good comapny to invest.

You are not thinking like an investor, but as a bounty hunter.

An investor check the coin/company team, general idea, project, financial situation, etc. Some ICOs are already established companies that are just  looking for a different funding mechanism.

Investing in ICO that do bounties with tokens may not be a good idea if they are paying too much tokens on bounties.

If project CEOs should fund by themselves, it means that you will not need to invest in the ICO again, except its coin is listed on exchange.

A lot of people are waiting for real development, that will bring about transformation in the crypto space.

Forget ICO if you can't wait for sales to reach hardcap. even have to wait a long time to get the token and wait for the token to be registered in the market.
ICO is only for those who have confidence and patience.

I agree with you, if they can run their projects with their funds so what for they provide ICOs. If they have enough funds, they only will promote their projects through social media and no need to have ICOs. Commonly, CEOs or project teams provide ICOs in order to collect funds to run their projects.

1) By investing in a ICO, project, VE or whatever, you are giving your money for a share of the project. If the project have own money to run it, they wouldn't need you and you would't get any share. It's simple as that.

2) Invest only on project with MVP.

I will start investing in ICO if I see the prospect of the real product in the future of the project. I think that the real product will be more promising for a long-term holding. However of course, firstly, I must identify whether this project tends to be scam or not carefully.

Yes, I really agree with you. If he doesn't want to wait long, it's better to buy tokens that already exist in the trade, because I think all ICO rules are the same, all investors must wait until the time specified by them. so there will be no ICO done in just a few days.

There are ICO that already have a working project and it is for testing before ICO started like Membrana https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3119562.0 and they even have a trading competition but most ICO needed funds for development and thats the problem with this situation most of them do not reach their target.

I agree with the first one. I'm not going to invest in a project that doesn't have a product. That's why I prefer those projects with budgets already because I know that no matter how good the concept of a project are, they are going to fail if the desired cap is not reached.

Your idea was so interesting, but I doubt if some project can realize that your idea. People create an ICO to raise a fund to create a project if you are already investing in the project that means you agree with the risk of investment.
Try investing in STO (Security Tokens Offering) it has less risk than ICO...

Almost all ICO are scam now and it takes more than been careful to invest in one ,if you are not very careful you will be a scam victim, i think STO will perform better than ICO and the waiting game will be over ,iCO won't survive without funds I guess that's why its called ICO

i would never invest in any ICO under any circumstances because it is obvious to me that they don't have any future and any profit that they may give you is based on your luck not based on their success. in other words you can only make profit from investing in some ICO only if the ICO can fool a lot of people into giving them their money and gets pumped afterwards. otherwise you are throwing your money away in a gambling game with bad odds.
