of course there no volume in exchange or just some money game, you know dev make coin then sell on ico, give pump for a while then disappear, and get money from that. why still list on cmc? i dont really know, but if there is a coin that you want to release on CMC you have to pay, of course they will pay it, to attract people's attention and it will look like a great project.

Well to me, what makes a coin dead is dependant on alot of factors. 1. A crypto might have excellent developers and yet it fails 2. It might not run away after ico and pumping but yet fail 3. It might even have great investors and still fail
what every crypto need is experienced and professional team. What actually determines the success of every crypto, is the team. Having an excellent team that helps market it well makes it survive. Also what are the qualification of these team. Sorry to say this but most cryptos when you look at the team behind such projects, you will be shocked to know that majority of them are scammers. Many do not have experience or haven't been involved in cryptocurrency administration before so they lack experience. Also some make it a family affair where their wife is the MD and kids managers with no viable team member with experience.

What makes a coin dead? I would say when it has no active nodes, no trading volume and no development, in that order. Anyone have a different definition? My second question, why does CMC still list these coins!?!?!?
Low trading volume and probably the complete lack of news from the developers, created for the masses differently and not say.

Low trading volume and probably the complete lack of news from the developers, created for the masses differently and not say. I'll add some, lacks a function that can be used by everyone. This is what needs to be considered when choosing a coin to be chosen as an investment place or for those of you who want to make a project. Each devs must be able to find some innovations that are on the coin that they want to make, differentiating in the functions side with the coin which has existed maybe it would be better.

Coins are dead because there are no enthusiasts and the development team has left so that there will be no function, and will slowly come out of the CMC list.

Low trading volume and probably the complete lack of news from the developers, created for the masses differently and not say. for now there are so many dead projects and also due to the decline in the price of bitcoin which is enough to make the market experience a very high decline

My second question, why does CMC still list these coins!?!?!?
I think as long as the coin still appears on an exchange or CMC continues to receive info of such coin from the exchange, it will be insignificant to delist it. Delisting from CMC I want to believe happens when no data is found about the particular coin or maybe we ask CMC for their reasons.

A coin that is only on one or two exchanges and gets delisted can dump huge. Saw this happen with coins binance delisted today.
Which coin are listed in the couple of exchange there are no big dump for binance delisted though of course something effect for big exchange delisting. But if when it was only listed two or three exchange one of them binance than which coin going to big dumping and almost you can say it is dead coin. Because everyone try to selling when spreading delist announcement.

Majorly the owner of the coin creates not because it is the requirement of the people just because in short term they want to make quick money so they find out this way of ICO. They do not have any vision and does not have any path for next 3-5 years. Thus finally it will be dump largely and will be worthless.

coin dead,of course because no one need it,forgotten by time, also dev has quited their project. CMC still list these coin ?,like what btw ? well,i just have speculation about why CMC still list that coins because its not really dead, i mean , maybe project seems suspended for while time. or because these coin/token has been upgraded like from eth mainnet to coin a have own blockchain,or moving from eth mainnet to EOS mainnet.

Unfortunately this is true, that's why a lot of ICO has become a failure and this affects the people's confidence in investing. I hope this things will be regulated so we will see full transparency from the team who are trying to run an ICO.

When a coin is listed on CoinMarkeCap, the condition of the coin still has a sale value and has not yet become zero. But I think now that the coin has become zero, it has slowly been removed. This indeed makes many people worry because many people hold coins with low trading volume.

They don't have a zero value but some of them has very low volume, and it looks like a dead coin too. I can see a lot of coins that are still listed in coinmarketcap waiting to be remove but if they are good coins, there's still a chance that they will be listed again.

Dead coins are a big problem for the market. There's a continuous cycle. Even in very large projects, it can be fake. I need to be very careful. And the time to pay attention is the bull season.

I agree with your definition, the coin will be due to no active nodes, no trading volume, no development, and of course if you have this there will be no development of the coin, and if you ask why CMC is publishing the voin on its website, because the coin trading volume ever touching $ 10,000 is the main ingredient.

In my opinion, even though there is no trading volume on those dead coins but the reason CMC is still listing the coin is because there are people who still buy the token and keep it. But if bullrun really occurs , it is not impossible that the dead coin also increases.

Ill dont know about that on why the CMC still listing those coins that have no volume and development. But sometimes in that case even if they are in the CMC and no volume it will be back again and make some moves to put some volume of the coins. So ill think they need some approval of the owner of those coins that have no volume right now.

Actually CMC is not the only basis to determine if the coin is dead or not, we can use other sources and by looking at the trading volume alone we will have our first impression then we can judge them.
