A n00by looking for some help. Tongue
Hello, I am looking to get started at mining to try to make the most out of what is left of mine-able Bitcoins. Obviously, simply mining off your GPU may make you a few cents, but clearly that isn't what people are into, besides pissing people off because your fan is so loud. What is the best and simplest Bitcoin miner on the market for a reasonable price. Keep in mind, I'm not looking for a pro rig, or at least right now. So like 5-10gh/s is sufficient. I was considering Butterfly Labs, but after some research it seams most dislike their products. Maybe explain why? Can someone simply help a n00b out here and point him in the right direction? Thanks!  Smiley

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Most dislike BFL because they delivered about a year late, refused to issue refunds when the delay grew.

If you wanted to start mining now and didn't want to purchase a big unit from ebay, I'd suggest the Bitmain S1. You can also purchase preorders if you wanted to wait, or from BFL but even if BFL ships you the product tomorrow just think how they treated their customers in the past if you have a problem you  would probably get the same responses they gave the others.

Depends on your budget.  If you just want to experiment, you can get 5 Antminer U2s at @2GH/s each and get a USB hub for a budget setup.

If you have $700 to spare, then get the Antminer S1, get a PSU, and overclock to 200 GH/s.  You won't be disappointed.
