I don't think anyone will send you first. You will have to go first so make sure to use escrow.
Although $10 worth of BTC is not a high amount but because of your red trust you will gonna have hard time however I wish you good luck.

You are right. It's a hard call. I would advise OP to try in any exchange like paxful or localbitcoins.

who took this 286$ from a newbie? Or as failed to unload big amount, now try to unload by small amount?

Try to use a middleman who can serve for free and his position should be at least Sr member or few trusted positive feedback. There are reputed escrow but as small deal they might not help.
