Correct title is, Bitcoin investors own gold too.  I am a bitcoin investor and I am abandoning neither. The only thing I'm abandoning is FIAT. (slowly) If I had to choose between Gold and Bitcoin, I would choose Bitcoin because you can't buy your groceries with gold coins. Gold's use as a currency is non-existent and it is not coming back. It is over for gold.

Also true. Although I was only in Bitcoin 2013-2015 (since I saw more room for growth there) those 2 communities have very similar ideas, values and perspective. Don't let Peter Schiff tell you otherwise, many of the crypto crowd came from the gold buyers communities.

Yes it is a fact also but in one side we need to think about the cryptocurrency usage while Bitcoin at to be used by people at 2017 December you think which kind will be the best way of making money but into a situation gold is better than Bitcoin but gym with kind will be the best way of making money and saving for the future also.

Gold was before Bitcoin and in my opinion anything could happen. including now in. people are free to determine their investment according to the risk ratio they want. indeed gold is the safest investment instrument available,but bitcoin is also still a lot of devotees with volatile nature which is very easy to rise in price

You have to know that in Middle Eastern countries, some countries there use gold as a payment method, it's called "dinar" they use gold for currencies because it's more stable and safer. but as an investment. Bitcoin users will not move just like that, especially gold already exists before Bitcoin is present, so the title of this thread will not happen at all

In my opinion, it is natural. Because they are investors and not crypto enthusiast. As long something profitable for them, they will invest into it. Actually that is what we must put on our mind, because be believer to a something wouldn't always give us better feedback.

bitcoin investors don't go for gold, they either already have gold as their other investment for diversification purposes or they don't. what they never do is to sell bitcoin to buy gold instead!

says who? i've personally known multiple coiners who sold bitcoins to invest in gold at various points in time. they figured bitcoin was near the top or was in a bear market and gold had better prospects (since it hasn't pumped since 2011).

a lot of bitcoiners put their money (including BTC) into whatever they think will generate profit. that's why pirate40's ponzi scheme was so big. it's why altcoins are so big. i think you give bitcoin investors too much credit.

there is a difference between hardcore investors (or better called traders) who are making money from investing their money constantly and with regular investors who are actually "investing" their money in something to make profit in long run.
a trader doesn't give a shit about what he is buying, yesterday it was bitcoin, today it is gold and tomorrow it will be something else like silver, stocks, an altcoin, and a ton of other things. they constantly move around not letting their money sit idle in some investment.
as a result you can't really say "bitcoin investors are moving to gold" because that is no what's happening.

my girlfriend keeps pushing me to dump some bitcoins for gold. she's just a classic case of noob sentiment. after more than a year of bear market, she thinks bitcoin must be dead and figures i should at least trade for some nice shiny rocks while i still can.

personally, i don't like gold because it's too difficult to transact with.

So tbh, unless there is significant, backed proof of this happening, I'm not buying this story. On the contrary, I'd expect gold investors to look into bitcoin increasingly due to the fact that bitcoin is indeed decentralised and a long term hedge against inflation, and gold investors like this aspect of their investment.
