scammed and lost their funds or their investment is worth pennies that I am not surprised at all that the
investments in ICOs decreased significantly.

Last year is bad year for ICO investor. There is many scam ICOs in 2018 and many investor lossing their money. I am agree if government regulation needed to regulate ICOs because its about investor money safety, if scam ICOs continue, its bad for crypto industry

only few ICO that could give their investors profits.most of them was shit projects that no usage at all.they just want to collect money and after that their planned exit scam after listing in exchanges.personally i am prefer investing in binance IEO.

They are absolutely ruining the image of crypto and even affecting legit's ICO program making them down also. And so we can't blame investors not to trust with ICO easily as they'll have bad experience in previous year. As we have this IEO system, they'll might a huge changes of investors look's towards crypto and putting back their trust again, and to try how's profitable they are than of ICO.

There's way to many ICO's that are literally trash. Idk how people invest in some of these projects. It's honestly a joke... The Bittorrent ICO would have been a good one to invest in just because of the hype behind it. If the token goes to $0 in a few months it would still be worth it because people are tripling their investment within a few days (probably not worth buying right now, but do your own research). Those type of ICO's are 1 in 1,000,000. The majority of the ICO's people are investing in are pure garbage. They have no utilitarian uses and they have weak fan-bases. I can't comprehend why people don't wait until POST ICO release, THEN analyze the platform and decide whether or not to invest. Doesn't this sound like the best logical solution? Sometimes even quality ICO's dump and you can pick some up for pennies on the dollar "fire sale".

Investors are doing it now, they prefer to invest when the coin hit the market than waiting for months with uncertainty, this is why so many ICO cannot reach the soft cap, even if the project is very good because they think that ICO sellers and bounty hunters will dump the coin when it the market.
