Yes I'm just a newbie I asked to borrow some bitcoins here. But it will be better if newbie can't reply/post on the lending section to lessen spam post from newbies. We can see that almost of the thread here is full of newbies' reply.
Sometimes new accounts being created just to ask a lend are from untrusted user here and just to keep away their accounts from being tagged by the DT's.

What can you say about this idea?

You are a self-contradictory person. You have advised not to post on lending section but on your 19 posts 6 posts on the lending section where you are a newbie too.

Well, there is that rare newbie that requests a loan and offers a sufficient amount of collateral (ie an altcoin with good liquidity) I don't think we should exclude them just because there are too many newbies trying to pull a Wimpy.

I don't understand why the lending area exists at all. Its prime purpose seems to be for senior members to sneer at the cognitively suboptimal attempts by nobodies to con them.

There are appear to be virtually no successful loans, just an endless cycle of insults and impotent scam attempts.

Maybe some users can apply this plan to get loans. I am not agree with you that we need to stop newbies from posting to lending section. IMO they request loans with sufficient amount of collateral where its loan provider choice to give them or not.

Not to mention those loan applications from mostly Newbies and Jr Members where they're not actually planning on giving any collateral at all. Nooope; not an obvious scam at all. These loans should be locked to members or full members and up only to lessen the too-obvious scam attempts.

A perfect example:
Loan Amount: 0.01 BTC
Loan Purpose: Private
Loan Repay Amount: 0.011
Loan Repay Date: 20/01/2019
Type of Collateral: none
Bitcoin Address: Will provide the address if approved.
Nope. Totally legitimate loan. Not a scam at all.

Nope. Totally legitimate loan. Not a scam at all.

Counter examples:
Legit 2BTC loan given to a Jr. Member at the time IIRC. or Legit 0.16BTC loan given to a Newbie at the time.

If lenders don't want Newbies (without collateral) in their threads, self mod your lending thread and delete all posts from Newbies. That's what I've done and so far I've only needed to delete one or two posts since April 2018.

*snip*

Well, I definitely wasn't saying that 100% of the Newbies and Jr members are planning on scamming. It's just that the legitimate loanees that are actually willing to leave a collateral are a very very small minority.

But yea, self-moderating should also do the work; even though it might be tedious to the service owner to remove lots of spam offers.

Caveat emptor
Typically, accounts are given some warning before a tag, aye?

At least from what I have seen.
Re-adding a "newbie jail" for Lending has been discussed before and examples akin to what DS_ has shown have also been exhibited.

The genuine members that are seeking loans will either read the stickies or read the threads in which they'll understand how not to request a loan.
