Just holding coins will bring you profit, but it will not be the maximum profit.
That depends on your capacity, if you are good in day trading then you sure can maximize your profit, but if not, you better be patient and hold. You can also earn a decent return if your holdings will increase many folds, like x10 or x50 which is possible before, so it could still happen again but it's always done with patience. |

Instead of selling them for quick profits it is good to hold them for the long term which might give you higher returns. For higher returns it will take time, so always think before you invest because less profit will not help you to buy potential coins. |

For myself, it is better to gain a small profit at this moment because it is difficult to see the price can increase. Besides that, I am sure that if the price increase, the next moment we will see are the price will make a correction and it means, the price will go down. But the question is we don't know how deeper the price will down. So I think it's better to sell some amount to get the money back and wait for another dump to buy more and wait for the next chance for the increase in the price. I think if you doubt the price of bitcoin now then you can sell it, but dont expect a big amount of profit. Bitcoin price is really not so easy to predict, especially now. But if you dont contented just buy some another and wait maybe the price is continue to rise. |

It's better to keep studying how the market behaves there's a lot of chances that you can missed the train, but if you are willing to take a long journey and you are targeting larger value, holding your coins and keep it in a safe wallet then set your target amount then move on till the actual amount will be hit and enjoy your profits. |

And it depends on market conditions too, we cannot always assume the market is in good condition. In fact, most of the market conditions in the past year were bad compared to the market. Maybe if trading in market conditions would maximize profits but vice versa, it would give a loss. |

both strategies can be done, but for now I prefer to get profits quickly. because right now if we only hold we will only watch other people who get profit, while we only hold without any income
holding is better done when the profit is unstable and the price is low, it will be safer than the risk of loss

It really depends to an individual whether he already want to grab some profit or keep holding for bigger profit. If you are good in trading then take profit when there's an opportunity then buy back when its cheap. But if you don't have time to study trading, just be an investor like me and wait until next year or few more years to sell your bitcoin at a great price.

Gaining good profits in a short and keeping hold for long term is completely on users self interest, whether it is quick profiting or long term profiting patience is a must. With quick profiting a better analysis is a must and one should not go emotional. With long term holding there is nothing to worry about, we can just rely on the market and when the expected profit is achieved can make use of it.
Either the two of it is profitable. However, we should not also let the trend bait us. Because of the greediness that circulates to our body, we are looking for higher gains in trading. I am a greedy trader also but I am controlling it since I had lost already a huge amount of money. It is not good to keep holding also cause it may ruin your dreams at your profits once it decline. |

Both strategies have a chance to exist. Which one is better for you to decide. For example, I use hodl, but sometimes i trade for a quick profit. I think that based on the situation on the market, you can choose a strategy.
The best strategy is to gain quick profits and then keep hodling them. Till now, I am not happy with my hodling strategy. I think that if I was into a quick gains strategy I would have earned many more that I hodl today. |

I think keep holdings is the best to apply while your in stage of learning. Never push yourself in a hurry to get profit because most of the time the more you desire to gain faster, you don't know that you are pushing yourself quickly to loss your capital or investment. At least if you hold in a long terms you can minimize the risk on which is possible for you to face in.
