There are currently 2 chains running. Someone needs to figure out which to use. I've been mining on peopleland for a few weeks now, to keep the chain moving.

Hi Same problem here, my wallet stop syncing 2 weeks ago (Mon Oct 7 08:27:55 2019). I can mine in pool.popeland.net, but the transactions does not arrive by wallet, so I am assuming I´m in the other chain.

Because the difficulty is extremly low, we can mine with the wallet itself using, setgenerate true 1 (where 1 is the number of cores you want to use to mine with CPU).

I can see mining difficulty right now in the wallet as 0.1194
{
  "blocks": 150378,
  "currentblocksize": 0,
  "currentblocktx": 0,
  "difficulty": 0.1194007280465542,
  "errors": "",
  "genproclimit": 18,
  "networkhashps": 4481504.737735428,
  "pooledtx": 0,
  "testnet": false,
  "chain": "main",
  "generate": true
}

Difficulty reported at pool.peopeland.net is 0.0459

Is it right to assume the original chain is the one with more mining difficulty?

I can see right now 3 Hedon nodes connected.
94.250.252.215:5404   , Starting block 108537
79.124.17.204:5404     , Starting block 108548
213.239.195.213:5404 , Starting block 151490, <<- this is http://pool.peopleland.net/

Which is the mechanism to sync all the nodes to a particular chain?

Banning the nodes in minory and hope my Client will sync with the remaining?

We need to decide which chain to support.

https://miningpoolstats.stream/hedon

Right blockheight today is 109162

peopleland.net is mining in the wrong chain. It is recommended to ban ip: 213.239.195.213:5404

and restart your wallet. if it doesn not sync, then close again, delete the blockchain files, and open.

It will connect to the mining-dutch.nl and smithpool.net nodes and will sync!

Regards.

Not that I think this coin will survive, but you can GPU solomine to wallet with nevermore v0.2.3

Today 5 nodes,

The I erased the blockchain folder (keeping the wallet.dat of course).

I banned this 3 mining on the longest chain.
37.26.136.253:5404
213.239.195.213:5404
104.248.86.221:5404

I let it syncing, and there is another 2 nodes to which I´m synced and happy CPU mining with only 1 core.
94.250.252.212:5404  block 113049
79.124.17.204:5404   block 113277
195.177.107.86:5404 block -1

Time to time, Mining-dutch mining pool, kicks-in increasing the difficulty around 1 or 2 and then after leave... After hours of no mined blocks, then my CPU achieves to mine few blocks to keep the chain moving...

I know this is a shit coin, but I would like to mine a big amount of this crap, just for the sake of it.

Thanks, I want to try that idea, but I have an AMD GPU rig, nevermore v0.2.3 does only support CUDA (nVIDIA GPU´s)

Do you know something similar for solo mining that links to the qt wallet and works for AMD GPU´s?

I can't believe that you are guys still believing in this project even the developer stops updating his own announcement thread no tweets or any notification to let us know if they are still continuing the project?

I mine this coin honestly for almost 1 month and half but they end up nothing. I'm always mining new coins or shitcoins just to make sure that I have few coins but most of the shitcoins end up scam and useless.

If no developers to keep this develop do you think you will see this coin to any exchanges in the future? Big No...

Does anyone know a way to force all nodes to sync into the same chain?

Will they automatically do consensus? Which is the criteria? Longest chain? more hash power?

I have been mining this coin with my sole CPU power, and sometimes with GPU using "miningdutch" mining pool.

I used the following command, you can do the same if you want to support the chain, difficulty is so low that a CPU can keep the block generation easily:
 setgenerate true 1

>getmininginfo
{
  "blocks": 131001,
  "currentblocksize": 0,
  "currentblocktx": 0,
  "difficulty": 0.0002441371325370145,
  "errors": "",
  "genproclimit": 1,
  "networkhashps": 193694.9162543705,
  "pooledtx": 0,
  "testnet": false,
  "chain": "main",
  "generate": false
}

I did it to keep the chain alive and running. But actually there is few nodes running on the wrong block height.

I consider the genuine chain the one actually on block  "height": 131001,

>getchaintips
[
  {
    "height": 136905,
    "hash": "000000002e6cfd1c5083f5505625508604d3c463fc41e62ad660e5c392899dec",

    "branchlen": 0,

  },

I would like to fix this, so in order to attract more nodes to the genuine chain, I will be giving away 1 MILLION HDN coins to the community.

 Grin Grin1 MILLION HDN COINS GIVEAWAY!!!! POST YOUR PUBLIC ADDRESSES Grin Grin

Please post here your public addresses and I will send you 5000 HDN tokens to 200 of you.

If you don´t have the wallet, please download the official one from here:
https://github.com/hedonproject/Hedon/releases

Once you have your wallet node up and running, you need to ban few guys that are in the wrong chain. For that, click on 'Tools'>'Console', then copy paste the commands below:

setban "37.26.136.253/32" "add"
setban "51.79.85.188/32" "add"
setban "104.248.86.221/32" "add"
setban "194.79.15.205/32" "add"

Then also add the good nodes with the following commands:

addnode 94.250.252.212:5404 add
addnode 79.124.17.204:5404 add

You could monitor the active mining pool block submission on this website:
https://miningpoolstats.stream/hedon

Current Hedon mining pools are:
https://www.mining-dutch.nl/
https://smithpool.net/
Your own CPU also!! USE->  setgenerate true 1

PS: Block explorer is down. We might need a few more mining pools to resurrect this coin. I would appreciate if any of you could help on that. Regards.

Yes, it is Hedon, and it is for fun  Grin
I learnt a lot with this coin about mining and chains. I am still wondering how the nodes select the right forked chain...

My guess is that this isn't the right chain. There are no active masternodes on this chain. Someone will need to set one up to legitimize the chain. My opinion at this time only.

Peopleland had the last known chain that had the masternodes, most were old and not updated? I have a chain at 192,??? you seen it. But again, there were Master's. Your opinion? Jose?

I'm gonna make this my bitch and see what I can do with this. Crex still has this listed, biggest issue is getting everyone on the same chain. I will make this happen, till otherwise noted.
