HI Everyone, Agilmine is back!  Wink

After months of planning and hardworking, We are happy to announce that today we have officially launched the Ultraminer FPGA miner campaign on crowdfunding platform Indiegogo! As some of you may know we are bunch of developers/hobbyists who had previously built a prototype fpga universal miner board named "Agilmine A1" which had already been sent to some forum members for verification. People loved its simplicity, easy setup and power efficiency. This time we are going to upgrade the design with Xilinx UltraScale+ Kintex KU3P which is from Xilinx's top-line 16nm process chip family. This is the highest performed and most power efficient FPGA series you can find in the market. You should expect 1.5-2x performance boost than Agilmine A1 prototype at about the same power consumption (20-25w). That is about 1.5x hash performance than a GPU, at only 1/10 of GPU's power consumption.

Indiegogo pre-order price of UltraMiner FPGA: $399

Please do check out our campaign page and website see if you like to support, or pre-order!
If we didn't meet the goal before campaign ends or we won't deliver, you will receive full refund from Indiegogo.

https://igg.me/at/ultraminer

* Please be noted that since "Crypto" is prohibited on Indiegogo (or any other crowdfunding platforms..). We are only allowed to campaign for a generic FPGA dev board there *
The information regarding cryptocurrency mining, including the estimated hashrate and power consumption can be found on our website page

www.agilmine.com

Estimated hashrate table:

All the mining algorithm bitstream files will be free to download, 0 dev fee, and we will provide some open source design framework to boost the 3rd party algorithm development on ultraminer platform.

Our mission is to make a FPGA miner that is accessible and affordable to every miner/enthusiast/hobbyist in the crypto community, which in our believe would benefit the decentralization and hence the long term prosperity and diversity of cryptocurrency industry.

Our plan is to deliver this board in 3 months! We have already locked down the price terms with Xilinx USA, and arranged the manufacturing factories in China and USA to build this miner for you. If you have specific questions or concerns please do let us know!

Thank you for the time!

We are here to answer questions and concerns. You can reach us via email and on discord as well.

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

And will you offer programming service on these please ?

cost to programme a single gate?
cost to programme two algos?
cost to programme multiple algos?

we will be providing free mining algorithms for the ones listed on the table, when the fpga ships..
our priority will be to deliver the ultraminer fpga board to our customers, so before that happens we probably have no time working on 3rd party programming contract. thanks.

you know when someones says.. it looks too good to be true..?

and there will be no recourse for buyers if you don't ship, because it's indiegogo.
seems like something "too good to be true"

we have already had many mining algorithms coded in our spare time, matter of fact, if you check my previous threads philipma1957 had already verified the functionality on our A1 fpga board. it wouldn't be costly for us to populate them and share with customers. the real cost is the hardware, and to be able to sell enough boards so xilinx can provide us the fpga chips at the desired low price. xilinx usa can provide a disclaimer if necessary.

if we don't deliver, me myself and my team will still be held responsible for what had happened, we keep everything open and nowhere to hide. there is always risks as we have stated in the campaign page as well. but we have been doing this for years, we deem it is low risk.
Thanks

I've known phil for many years from previous mining efforts together, he's a good bloke, perhaps you can point him towards this thread to verify the sample unit.

just got a pm

here it is in its entirety .

I normally keep pm's private but this is an exception> I did a screen shot to keep it not doctored.
I have tested a sample of  the older gear and I am willing to try and help with this one.
First testing a sample and second trying some kind of escrow setup. If all goes well.

I will not be screenshotting  every single pm or email for clarity but I always try to be as transparent as I can be.

FPGA's for the most part have had issues coming to market

we all know the squirrel acorn mess
and there was another scammer out there.

So lets see if we can do this better then they did.

great thanks always appreciate reviewer, we understand the frustration and we want to keep it open and transparent as well. that's one reason why we chose a crowdfunding platform for this project.

HI that really depends on how much memory it uses, there is in-chip block RAM to be used for mining, if not big enough then the mining efficiency will be dictated by the installed DDR4 memory on board. thanks.

thanks Phil, just be careful mate, you wouldn't be the first to have received a sample and shilled a non-existent hardware.
I, for one, will wait to see retail reviews before i part with any money whatsoever. But yeah, thanks for clarifying.

I understand all the skepticism, I hope the community understands that the goal of this crowdfunding campaign is to secure the minimal sales in order to cover the cost of sampling and manufacturing, as well as to secure the price terms we have negotiated with fpga chip supplier.
essentially, to kick start it. as we are individual developers and not taking any external fund or investment, and we'd like to make it a community project. we don't intend to take any profit out of it, given the high cost of making them.

BTW, what is the other scammer you were referring to?

Estimated hashrate table:

One more "crypto mining" FPGA board which will never ROI.
lyra2z is already decimated by bcu1525 and private chinese fpga farms. The last one coin with notable emission GINcoin is forking withing near week or so.
6Mh/s on Phi2 algo earns 5 to 15 cents per day with electricity at 10 cents/KW. Even old cheaply $70-100 rx480/580 Polaris hash the same 6Mh/s on this algorithm.
Lyra2rev3. Current profit is 20 cents per day. This is 5+ years payback period. old cheaply $70 rx470/570 Polaris hash almost the same ~45Mh/s with barely OC and ASM optimized miner.
Tribus, Keccak, 0xbtc, XDAG algos are dead if speaking in terms of profit

No one public available fpga board with a public bitstream can ROI mining cryptocurrencies, especially in current market state.
I want to repeat: mainly only miming hardware manufacturers and hardware resellers earn money in crypto mining  sphere.
Currently crytpomining is a zero-sum game, where miners will always lose, doesn't matter what kind of specialized hardware you are using : ASICs, FPGA.
Take a look at bcu1525, Acorn owners. They all screwed, there are no chance that they'll be able to payback investments even within 3 years period

Please don't call me overly pessimistic. I'm a realist who is familiar with math

we all know it is a crappy market now, but the message you are trying to convey is that all miners should just quit mining.
will FPGA save it all? no, it is just another tool in the box, it stands out due to its easy configuration and power efficiency and low heat, compared to the "old cheaply" gpu mining. this fpga chip is the best you can find in the market, in terms of performance per watt/per dollar. we think it is pretty cool to have for mining that's why we are making them, but if you are talking about ROI, i don't think gpu and asic are getting anywhere better.

My 2 cents:  I think its great that something like this is finally being sold on a platform with some accountability.

Also is this Coralville, IA?  I live in Iowa City  Cool

Interesting card, will keep my eye on this and maybe order one Wink

Two questions after looking through the specifications:

1. Simple USB only connection for mining, no need to mess with PCIe
What do you mean? Does it need to be put in a PCIe slot or not?

2. DDR4 260 pin SODIMM socket (170Gb/s max bandwidth, 32GB max capacity)
Is any ram included or do we need to add it to the card?

Thanks!

Thanks, that's what we want to have a open project, with real developers, everyone can see, talk about, and contribute to, and hopefully to build a community and more developers are willing to write fpga code for mining.

we know there are many custom-made, secret fpga miners in China, but i would say 99.9% of them are using 7 series 28nm process  xilinx fpga chips, which is 2 generation older than the xilinx 16nm ultrascale+ fpga we intend to use. In order to use the latest xilinx chip, you need to present a strong case to the xilinx manufacturer, and that's what we have done in the past month.

the purpose of the campaign is to get enough orders so we can do mass production, i think 500 is the minimal below which we would be losing money making any. but we are going to order some sample parts and build some for ourselves anyway.

and Good to know another Iowan, 2 of us work in CR, and 1 is in Oregon managing the production, where for sure you can find more factories than here in Iowa..
