A cryptocurrency is a digital asset designed to work as a medium of exchange that uses strong cryptography to secure financial transactions, control the creation of additional units, and verify the transfer of assets.
Unlike what many are thinking, crypto is meant to make transaction easy for the world at large, also eliminating third party influence, an alternative to fiat, we are suppose to see it that way and not as an investment, it suppose to be a priviledge to make profit out of it not see it as a way to get wealth and that would have help the technology to grow and attract the right support, but it is a pity that the crypto sphere is full of so many greedy people appearing to be dev and investors, no wonder we have so many fake projects and no wonder some people somewhere we feel that manipulating the market is the best they can do to the crypto sphere.This is a technology that has the potential to change the face of financial transaction, but because of greediness, we have empower the opposition to make a claim that crypto is a scam
So many are ignorant of what cryptocurrency is and the problem it was meant to solve, some are even exploring the forum searching for projects that can make them rich without knowing what crypto is all about, the purpose for it and the problem it mearnt to solve, and that is why many are investing into fake ICO, they never care to find out the purpose the project was develop, the problem the project want to solve and if proposed solution is relevant to it target area.I just hope we can do something to help the technology.

As you menntion in your post, this is the reason of the proliferation of scams.. with all "wanna-be-rich" in a while that pot threads like "tell me a coin to make a x1000 return". Before investing in anything, ask yourself about the case of use of this project.. it is useful? solves a problem? will be accepted massively? For me, the best of cryptocurrencies is the lack of requiring a third party, this will lower the price on many many many many many sectors

The huge to get rich by all means through the use of cryptocurrency as thrown out crypto sphere into a state of loss instead of profit and benefits of technology that should have sustain us for a very long time to come,there are so much we could have benefit from cryptocurrency and blockchain technology but greediness on the part of many has made it just mere dream

I would say that the idea of cryptocurrency needs popularization. Most people do not understand what it is, why it is needed and what problems it can solve. Therefore, I suggest that everyone who figured out the issue of cryptocurrency, explain this topic to their friends and acquaintances. And so the world will gradually prepare for a blockchain revolution.

Yeah the basic function of a cryptocurrency is transparent, instant, cheap and global transfer of money or asset that is not interferred by any government, bank or regulator and this concept define decentralization and at the same time the borderless vision behind crypto.

Well, what are the suggestions to help the technology? I think that for most people, cryptocurrencies are just a way of earning money and the interest in popularizing cryptocurrencies is only of its own nature for profit.

I believe that despite all the bogus claims in many projects whitepaper on how they want to be the 9th wonder of the world, the fact remains that cryptocurrencies were developed for secure and decentralized financial transactions and thats the core value

basicaly yes, you are true but , nothing is free bro how u create a transaction without someone mined the blockchain,that why born a miner how u secure ur transaction without buying the crypto first,that why born a market. everything can change by time, about crypto it self, basicaly its same like electric voucher , like grab voucher or something like that. the diffrence its crypto have a own network. that why crypto is easy to be manipulated, in this cases, its same like gold as a beginning, change primitive economic thinking that focuses on barter. and after trading to gold accepted,born a money based on how much u have gold to make it simplified on that time, greedy is born, once they know gold has a limited numbers. ... well in the end, crypto will acceptable. |

Nothings can make these impatient guys rich overnight,even 1000x cryptos or shitcoins. Elimintaing the third parties or medium companies can be advantage but using this advantage for accelerating the mass adoption is better idea than competing with big payment companies. |

People getting into greed is common and the same hasn't striked the users mind without reason. There are lot of users who have turned millionaires just through making an investment into some ico or on bitcoin. This all happened on cryptocurrency. Several of these incidents creates greed, why we can't be the same. This is how things happen, majority of the users understand and move according to the market while few keeps on investing more. |

it is not the "best" way but it is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to make the most amount of profit in the shortest amount of time that is why pump and dumps are the dominant reason why any altcoin exists specially the top ones. i hope that too but i gave up on altcoins a while ago and i am only focusing on bitcoin and use altcoins to increase my bitcoin wealth because in my experience bitcoin is the only thing that matters. |

The question is, if we keep doing it that way and everyone keeps investing without making use of the crypto as payment, wont it eventually defeat the objective of the block chain technology. Just like OP mentioned, majority of us are seeing it strictly from the aspect of investment and we pump in money for the purpose of multiplying it and any little increase in price, we pull out our funds if we are lucky to buy at bottom, this is quite wrong and bad for the system, all we will end up getting yearly is an unstable coin with so many pump and dump going on, I don’t think the market will ever become less volatile with the conception. |
