There is nothing new about it. The article just has links to Freebitco.in. They launch a brand new lottery every week.

The reason I wrote the article for freecoyn.com is that I got an official email from freebitco.in announcing the "brand new lottery".

I think it's a completely new idea that's launching soon. I thought I'd flag it up early as we like to cover faucet news on the blog.

It doesn't replace their old lottery. It's two different things. This new wagering game was already started few months ago and it's mainly made for big gamblers who wager a lot of BTC. Small players don't have chance to win there, but they can participate in old lotterybwhen they can win something with only few hundreds tickets.
