How about a thread on how we can improve this controversial section of our forum ?
First thing I suggest we do :
Create a separate section for all the LTC pools so one can pick and choose much more easily.
Create a section for TBX, LTC, NMC, SLC, GG, RUC etc. rather than have them all in one section.
Any one agree ?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

With all the sc crap dieing down, i don't think this subforum really has enough trafic/volume to support childforums like that. Certainly not for each individual chain that may come or go.
Now perhaps a broader child forum of some sort could be useful. GPU/CPU or Decentralized/Centralized could organize things a bit.

The 2 big families of conflict are probably more economic capped vs. uncapped systems
I highly disagree - nothing has caused more noise than SC's centralized position. Even Bitcoin (i think) can remove the cap if there were a majority who felt that way (up to the theoretical limit). GG didn't have a cap and there was little noise concerning GG. But under a centralized system, it's up to only a select few what to be done. You can't have a centralized system and yet be categorized due to it's economic position - a position, which due to the centralization, can be changed at any time. edit: I can't really think of any other way outside of centralized/decentralized. It specifically addresses the frame of which discussions inside take place, whether they be of economic model, hashing algorithm, or block subsidy. It's the difference between pleading your case to an 'board', and discussing options with your peers. Two entirely different frames of discussion. In SolidCoins case, they should be proud of setting that precedent. 'centralized' means that sweet sweet 51% protection, right? Solidcoin is centralized until there are enough legitimate 'SC Millionaires' who operate enough control accounts to override CoinHunters initial 10 account/12m premine |

If an alternate chain has enough discussion to merit more than one section then someone should make a new forum for it. |

If an alternate chain has enough discussion to merit more than one section then someone should make a new forum for it. Well how about making a section for LTC and its various pools as they are cluttering the Alt crypto board ? |

If any alt currency gets big enough where it needs subforums, I think that should be a sign to anyone with some space to share each month for forums, or even as a joke, use ezboards, freeboards, proboards, or whatever, to start up a chance for a larger community for any given coin. A suggestion that people may think I am joking about, but if anyone has any true interest, go to this page https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin:Community_portal and hit up a lot of the unused boards. Ask the mods or admins if they would want to support another alternative digital currency on their forums. I believe people would rather their forum software go used than unused. I do not believe anyone here would be against any of these forums having started as a Bitcoin based forum. |

I believe you have enough supporters of the community of Litecoin itself where you could probably set up a donation page to cover the costs to buy whatever it is that the people who got from you feel was ripped off. I am purposely staying out of more specifics than that, don't want to derail this thread, but just based on the idea of whatever the issue is, the people would take care of it, your name is clear, your links now have a chance to be clicked by users who do not know your history. |
