Asic devices are the best. They are specific hardware made exclusively for mining, with very high hash rate.
The most common is antminer.

As bitmover just said ASIC are the best mining device for crypto you could ever have but in terms in profit and price I guess I can vouch for GPU as it is affordable and in terms in profit the ROI is not that long to be back on you.

I am not that into mining but as I read more about it and in terms for profit I guess it will depend on the market situations and on the coin you are used to mine. Everything varies at all.

Asic mining is pretty good. But personally I don't have the time and space to run the rigs myself. Also the electricity price is pretty high in my country. Have you ever thought to get shares in any already profitable mining company? There is one you can get shares through STO, EliteMiningInc. Have a look at the website https://elitemininginc.com

No, no, no.
Don't do this OP. If you're going to mine, always buy the hardware yourself. 99.5% of all these cloudmining sites are a scam, and nothing more than a ponzi.

A quick look at the link above leads me to believe that that site's operation is very sketchy as well. I wouldn't use them. They use stock photo's and some random talk about investment rounds without any clear evidence.

I don't even think individuals can invest. (Which is a good sign, although their site is still very ponzi-esque...)

You are suggesting OP does cloud mining?
A big NO... Chances of landing in a scam are pretty high. It's better to do the mining for yourself.

Asicminervalue (click for link) should help out if you're looking at what devices to purchase. You can set your electrical cost at the bottom of the site and the site will automatically calculate the current profitability of various miners that are out and set to come out soon. I don't personally use the "Opportunities" tab of the site that shows you places where you can buy ASICs as some of the site's 'trusted vendors' seem pretty shady to me.

Also note that all mining calculators only provide current profitability rates and things like forks can change profitability in days. Always do research before buying a machine so you don't buy a device that becomes significantly less profitable rapidly. This is only generally a problem with altcoin miners though.

It depends on how much electricity costs you. However if you want to undermine: ASIC or GPU. The GPU is more versatile and when it's obsolete for mining you can always use it for gaming or editing.

It's no cloud mining. I've lost money with cloud mining (probably like every other person who has tried it). It's a STO project. The website is a little outdated and they are going to announce the launch of STO sale, and once the info will be released I guess they will update the website as well. But you can try and have a look at their telegram channel where they keep it more updated https://t.me/EliteMiningInc

So they're offering an STO in US? How does that possible? Last time I checked there's no clear rule about it in US.
Anyway, you also use a sig promoting them. Are you one of them or are you one of their customers?

OP, what kind of coins did you want to mine? GPU is more flexible so it's good if you want to mine several coins. I also heard something like FPGA but not sure how effective they are.

It depends on what coins you are going to mine, generally asic miners are very good for mining some coins. Honestly mining with GPU is good as well , like I said it is all depends on what coin to mine.

It's USA regulated, so not really a problem there. I'm not part of the team, just a customer. And it's the first time I've ever heard of an STO regulated by the US laws and this gives me some kind of hope for the future. The WP will be released in a couple of weeks. Bitcoin mining (ASIC) is almost not profitable anymore for normal people. The energy cost per kWh has to be f**king cheap to be profitable atm or you need free (stolen <= don't do this) electricity (hamster wheel). The low price of BTC is forcing out many miners of their business because they can't pay electricity bills.
The measure @greenlanternlight01 mentioned is in my opinion a very good one if the company is no scam. A detailed research is very important. A running operation is IceRock Mining, they have proof of their operations and another company is getting into their STO: eGold Mining. It's also US based and the team is verified.

But everyone has to be careful to invest in such companies, most of them say to be legit but aren't. Always verify team and operations. When it's legit you can be successful.

Novices should be more economical from the GPU, and it might be better to change the ASIC after some experience.

To mine bitcoin probably Bitmain's S15 or MicroBT's M10. They should last a couple of years, they are loud and power hungry, unsuitable for most homes unless you quiet them down by putting them inside a wooden box with holes and noise insulation fabric inside, etc.

Its not profitable to mine unless your electricity costs lower than 10¢ per KW/h.

Stay away from cloud mining.
