I suppose CCN is just trying to grab more traffic for more income. It's like back in the days where the blog's news were mainly, and sometimes only, talking about Bitcoin and blockchain. Only after the altcoins started to buzz they all switched to a different website structure to keep increasing the traffic.

It's still a long way, before the end of the year but I must admit what will happen this year will have a crucial effect on the future of Cryptocurrency in general if we cannot get into the bull run this year, then it could be much worse next year.

I think the cause for this is complex, but yeah it can be a sign that people are losing their interest in crypto. I bet most of this views comes from bounty hunters who were scammed and not getting paid thus stop using this forum for good (or at least wait for the next bull run where scam project can go x20).

It's not really a bad sign, this is what we need to filter out the market from bad speculation, investors, and educate people to be more careful. Anyway, bear market or not, development is going strong. No worries.

these people are doing their opportunistic heuristics, when they shift away from crypto they see opportunities now elsewhere

There are lot of downward  predictions last year in which its proven correct in the end making the upward predictions to become proven wrong. This new prediction is possible therefore better if we embrace it in advance and be prepared for it because it is better to expect low then it become high than expecting high but instead the market is falling.

We are at the all time lows about anything related to bitcoin. Twitter mentions, google searches, the price, mainstream media attention, bitcointalk.org daily users (which is down for 1 million since the last month)

Overall everything about crypto/bitcoin is going down. If CCN can't generate enough revenue from the crypto fans it is natural target a more active audience.

Things will change in a couple of years at worst. This is going to end just like what happened in 2015-2017.

But yeah, the crypto space has been really boring lately so it's also entirely possible that reduced traffic has forced them into transitioning earlier than intended. Still not a bearish sign though I'd say.

The Bitcointalk one is probably more related to the increasing scarcity of signature campaigns and the general realization that bounties are shit. It could also be because there's not a lot to talk about anymore lol.

They aren't funded by bitcoin alone so there will come a time wherein they would really need to do something else aside from being a news website tackling about cryptocurrencies alone. Not that I'm saying that it's a good thing, but from a business perspective, compromises must be met. Anyone who is getting a lot of views would likely expand/diversify and take the opportunity other than staying on one spot for too long. If the opportunity is present, why avoid it? Bitcoin and the crypto world isn't defined by a single cryptocurrency news website, so CCN can rebrand any way and any time it likes.

Just like all websites, they are desperate for traffic and clicks, they invent stories, they use clickbait titles, they are trying to pack as much useless information on the front page to make you click something and stay longer on their website.

If it is a bearish sign, it's for the media that is focused on cryptos alone and they are faced with less and less stories and a hundred wannabe news sites popping every month.

if the bullshit that sites such as CCN publish were a "sign" of market movement then price should have shooted up and down at least twice a week since they publish different crap depending on  the moods of that day and whether they can find a good clickbaity article that day or not.

the fact that they are putting other things on their website is because they want to maximize their traffic as much as they can so that they can make the most amount of money. it has nothing to do with the market, signals or which way bitcoin is going to go!
