That's right, the rise in bitcoin will definitely cause other cryptocurrencies to rise because bitcoin still dominates the entire crypto marketcap over 50%. This is the more reason why most crypto enthusiasts say that the bull run of bitcoin would cause alternative cryptocurrencies to rise.
Same happened many times, same will happen again. Trigger will probably be the bitcoin halving and when that happens next year we will see the entire market rise. This period now is good for all of us, bad projects will crash, good ones will stay, that has to happen in some point.
