Looking at the stats shared by LoyceV it does not look to me that they are Merit Sources (if they are, then not at all active). Amount of Merits sent by Dabs is not even justifying the initial airdropped smerits.
AFAIK, Moderators and Staffs are automatically indeed a Source but just by looking at them, they're not that active on giving out their sMerits, for they're a Mod which focus only on their work.
rickbig41 has this "I'm not a member" , though I think he only gives out his sMerits out of his own decision.
And because of that we are needing atleast one Active Merit Source for our own board.
