Hi,
I'm running rhminer on an old Dell R610 with 2 x Xeon E5620 2.40GHz CPU's (16 cores with hyperthreading). I managed to get use of another server so upgraded the CPU's to 2 x Xeon E5649 2.53GHz (24 cores with hyperthreading). Both the same OS (Win 10), same firmware, drives etc but the E5649 CPU's have a hash rate about 1/3 of the E5620. Higher clock speed and more cores, I was expecting more. In fact, I have have an 8 year old i5 4 core desktop running with a slightly higher hash rate than the server.
Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks
