Everything has its own advantages and disadvantages. Like Gun has both good and bad uses, we can't quit using Guns since they have a negative impact also. Likewise, the use of BTC on the dark web is a negative aspect of BTC, don't forget its has many good uses also
What gun are you talking about ? It is a crypto coin ? Or the gun that has a bullet ? Whatever gun it is , you can still quit using it if you feel that its not good for you .
same as btc , if you dont like btc then dont but if you think that btc is beneficial for you then why stop ?
And
Not all services in the darkweb are bad but some are useful too . darkweb only got a bad reputation due to its creepy aspects .

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Bitcoin exists and does not, dark web will still exist. By using bitcoin it is true that transactions will be more anonymous, but we cannot just assume that bitcoin is something negative. So, if the bitcoin doesn't exist, will the dark web disappear? no, they can still transact on the dark web which of course will use and involve fiat in the transaction.

For some people to hear deep web is something terrible where there are sites that are dangerous for ordinary people to watch. Bitcoin is very popular among dark web users, they use bitcoin for various transactions such as buying and selling weapons, drugs and even services as contract killers. In my opinion, it's only a small part of them using it for crime, I'm sure there are more benefits to bitcoin in a positive direction.

So im literally a curioused person which wanted to have more informations about Deep Web and its wierd and creepy videos and stuffs. So I recently streaming youtube for a couple of hours, so basic compared to what deep web has, but after about 10 videos,i found this gem.
https://youtu.be/rEtGb4Eenp0
So for those who have no time watching a 14:27 minute video, ill make a summary for you.
So theres this youtuber who wants to access deep web, just a curious guy like me. Then after a boring introduction, he finally opens the site. So to make the story short. He finds all illegal stuffs like hacking, buying other peoples account including paypal and even bank accounts perhaps, steps on how to do illegal things and a bunch of drug dealers all for suprisingly low price. Whats surprising is this.
MOST OF THE DEALS ARE CAN ONLY BOUGHT BY BITCOIN !!!!!!!!!
WTF. I really stumbled that even the dark webs and illegal organizations only accepts BTC because of its anonimity.
Heres an interesting topic for you guys. Lets discuss about this and maybe you have a lot information than mine.
What world are you in mate ? Bitcoin started with this and in fact the dark web was the place from where bitcoin took the rise.
The price has grown high due to the criminal activities and drug dealing happening at that place and they accept only bitcoin because of it's anonymity.
But the time has changed now and the speculators have more dominance over the bitcoin community.

many people said that bitcoin is illegal because it used on the deepweb, its true that bitcoin is used on deepweb, its because the transparency and anonymous because of 2 things of that the bitcoin used for illegal purpose, but we should know that bitcoin is not illegal at all, it depend by the user that use the bitcoin.

It is not surprising at all. From what only I heard about deep web, it really uses bitcoin as a payments in illegal activities. But some can be traced with their IP thus requiring anyone to download some VPN to mask the Ip address.
At least you've shared the video. I'm gonna open it when I have a free time to have an idea what deep web really looks like.

yeah indeed the deep web accepts bitcoin as a payment tool because bitcoin is a cryptocurrency that can provide security against personal data and other personal matters. so if you use bitcoin as a payment tool, your identity will be hard to trace.

No, it doesn't depend on the user, it depends on the country he is using it.
If that person is using Bitcoin in a country that did not want to legalize, in other words, banned Bitcoin in their country, that is illegal. He might do some things to cover up his IP that might track him and might end up being a proof for him to go to jail. Also, the anonymity of Bitcoin is not that really anonymous, if you know what I mean. There is a lot of ways to track down their IP address the reason there are a lot of times that people are caught buying illegal things on the deep web using Bitcoin.

Tor Network and Bitcoin were created in the spirit of cypherpunk movements, so it might have a correlation between those two application/software since the early adopters are the people within the movements circle. That software really benefits for the people who want to seeks privacy and freedoms, and surely TOR and Bitcoin perfectly suits. So, Its no wonder why the communities highly correlated because the user is really in the same favor.

I've never checked out dark web, but I'll use some common sense / logic. There are more directions here:
1. I expect that some of those "deals" are fake, like everywhere in the world. So obviously a mean of payment that's not reversible is preferred by the sellers.
2. Since the things sold/bought there are usually (?) illegal, linking them to somebody's name, address, face.. are clearly avoided.
And then the next question arise: how comes they don't use anonymous coins and risk (just a little, I know) to use Bitcoin?
Indeed. Bitcoin is not completely anonymous. I've heard many times that those services or deals ends up into a scam. Feds have already busted the silk road so do your own diligence or you might end up in prison because of your curiosity. I think dark web just turned into a fascination for idiots and not a site for illegal things anymore.

Dark / deep web's main currency is bitcoin, no wonder they only accept bitcoin as the payment currency.
in deep world, they need to protect their privacy, therefore they use cryptocurrency.
Monero is one of the private cryptocurrency because you cannot track the balance freely like bitcoin or ethereum.

with the regulations today, you might not be able to find anonymity in using btc the fact that it isn't an anon coin. i'm not from the deep web but whoever wants to easy cash but without documents, you'd resort to BTC. you don't need to ever go to the deep web to buy those paypal accounts and so on. you can even find it here. It can eventually be traced to you if carefully examined by blockchain detectives.

No . its not anonymity on why people refrain to use bitcoin but its about the appearance . i have talk to some people online and i introduce bitcoin to them . they said that they mistaken bitcoin as a scam because it is only a virtual currency and the name bitcoin is not really well known aside from this forum .

What is the benefit of people to doing illegal use of Monero?
They cant be traced by the authorities because monero is fully anonymous when compare to bitcoin but bitcoin can also be fully anonymous if you wil mix it using a mixing service such as bitblender .

Would you buy something illegal with your credit card? Of course not. People use BTC or ZEC to keep anonymity.
Don't be afraid to donate BTC

Nothing new about this and the use of bitcoin for illegal transactions that's why governments and some people would use that fact against bitcoin. With bitcoin, it's easier to transact with people without giving any personal information. Much safer for them.

Since bitcoin is a kind of money that being used online, that are also called cryptocurrency. This cryptos are being used to buy clothes, purchase any products online, pay bills etc. Bitcoin can also be used to buy some products of dark web, hence, dark markets aren't necessarily illegal. They are simply digital marketplaces, created using the same kinds of technologies that typically underpinbitcoin. At the very least, they will accept bitcoin as a method of payment because of its quasi-anonymous characteristics.

These are happening a long time ago. Actually bitcoin first takes place widely in deepweb. It was obviously used for illegal transactions like what you have mention, drugs, bank accounts or other stuffs related to pornography or gore. I think the reason why bitcoin was the major currency in deepweb because a lot of people are interested to it for the chance that it will rise its value soon. Also, transactions using crypto was somehow secured or anonymous compare to some currency.
I have read time and time again that Bitcoin isn't as anonymous we thought it to be, because of that most of that most of the deep or dark web users have started accepting monero if their main issue was anonymity. But to those that accept Bitcoins am sure it has to do with the fact that they know it will rise in value so that they can have some profits.
