Some Ethereum developers have expressed concern about the potential security vulnerabilities in the new type of smart contracts that will be integrated into the source code in the upcoming Constantinople hard fork update.

Everyone is buying Ethereum before the hardfork happens. Developers have promised to release their hardfork at the end of February and if it is not getting postponed the whole industry will be pushed forward.

Although, the price of bitcoin is also going uptrend, which could have also had some positive impact on the growth of ethereum. Yes, I am very sure the price of Ethereum will rise again before Hardfork happens later, and now signs of an increase have occurred. And for Hardfork there are still 2 weeks left, so take advantage of this moment.

Hopefully the price of Ethereum and the other altcoins should move up this year. I don't just want to stop believing in cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology as a whole. Let's keep moving on as altcoins gain resistant and bull run.

ETH platform is hosting the smart contracts and it is it`s platform main utility so until there will be no higher demand for ICOs the price will reflect the poor market situation. I expect slow recovery for ETH.

The present situation at hand now is not just about ethereum, bitcoin with its domineering nature is also growing. Which means that the growth of ethereum could also have been influenced by the of btc.
I cannot totally believe that the upcoming hardfork is what is pumping ETH to that level. There might also be other factors.
