Pair of 1080TI rigs, built by VoskCoin and Remote Mine, respectively. Six cards in all; used only half a year. (See update, below.) 2 BTC for the lot. (See update, below.) Pick up in Salt Lake, or pay for shipping. Further details and discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5109633.msg49748627#msg49748627https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5109633.msg49885514#msg498855142019-04-17 updateFinally got someone else to store the rigs, and take some photos. (Should I get pictures of the boxes, too?) I was mistaken about the number of cards -- the total is eight, not six. Six in a single rig (that pictured), and two in another (not shown). I had thought that such was the case, but didn't want to mistakenly false-advertise, before. Since the initial post, the BTC exchange rate has shifted significantly, so the previous highball of 2 BTC is now excessive. "Buy it now" price of 1.3 BTC (~$6,800) for both rigs, or we can haggle about individual parts via PM. First rig... [6] GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G graphics cards (gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TGAMING-OC-11GD) [1] EVGA SuperNOVA 750 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 750W power supply (evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-p2-0750-x1) [1] Hewlett Packard 1200-Watt power supply (#438203-001) [1] open frame with motherboard, processor, memory, etc. Second rig... Not sure yet. Awaiting further photos. Images of rig, with closeups of part numbers, along with recent periodicals... https://imgur.com/lYCZ8Sihttps://imgur.com/haJTJ1thttps://imgur.com/6BeHrgghttps://imgur.com/BPslnuGhttps://imgur.com/h95pgSD

The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Your rigs only have 3 cards each?
They were “trio” rigs originally conceived by philipma1957 and Vosk subsequently used the setup. Its basically 3x1080tis on a mobo. Very compact and downtime is limited to just three cards if there are any problems (rather than 7+ cards on a regular rig). Thats if they are what im talking about of course . Heres Voskcoins Youtibe vid of the setup:- https://youtu.be/fOzz6YFSNxE

Lets recap a bit:VoskCoin - YouTube video publish date: Published on Jul 28, 2017 Today’s date: February 13, 2019 Lets subtract:From and including: Friday, July 28, 2017 To, but not including Wednesday, February 13, 2019 Result: 565 days It is 565 days from the start date to the end date, but not including the end date. Or 1 year, 6 months, 16 days excluding the end date. Or 18 months, 16 days excluding the end date. So unless this rig was built and used for/by you only 6 months ago as stated in your op: Six cards in all; used only half a year. Looks like there is a year of use unaccounted for? Now onto your asking price:You are asking 2 BTC currently which is the USD equivalent of approximately $7,144 at the time of this post. Here is a random Google search which brought me to Amazon where you can buy a 1080ti Brand New : https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-SILENT-Graphics-08G-P4-6678-KR/dp/B077Z6LFQ1/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1550097825&sr=1-4&keywords=1080ti&th=1 For $569.97 each x 6 cards = $3419.82 + shipping etc. so let’s round up to a generous $650 /card (including shipping) which = $3900 for 6 Brand New 1080ti's Add in a Motherboard, Cpu/cooler, Ram, PSU, and an SSD etc. which in total using the parts list in VoskCoin‘s YouTube video: Motherboard: $79.95 - for a brand new motherboard Screws: $8.17 - Steel Sheet Metal Screws (100 pack) Spacers: $9.99 - for 100PCS 3mm Black Nylon Round Spacers Felt Furniture Pads: $39.98 Felt Furniture Pads (152 Pieces) Power switch: $4.29 - ATX case power switch by Corpco CPU: $129.99 - for a brand new CPU G4400 Ram: $26.95 for a brand new - Ballistix Sport LT 4GB Single DDR4 PSU: $129.99 - for a brand new EVGA Supernova 750 P2, 80+ Platinum 750W USB Drive: $9.99 - Lexar JumpDrive S75 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Wood: $6.62 - Midwest Products 5305 Plywood Sheet, 1, Beige (new) Total Parts BRAND NEW = $445.92 lets add in $100 for shipping for a total of: $545.92 - let's multiply all of the above – assuming both setups are exactly the same x2 which = a total of: $1091.84 Plus $3900 for 6 BRAND NEW 1080ti's (from above) Total parts BRAND NEW cost: $4991.84 or currently approximately: 1.397 BTC at the time of this post. Let’s take into consideration that the rig is fully assembled with a tweaked OS for performance and so on. For a newbie or someone who never built a 3 card rig before this may make sense to buy a pre-built rig. I’d be so bold to say that most people in the ‘Computer hardware’ section have experience to some degree with GPU mining, so this may not apply to them. So using only the math above with all BRAND NEW components you are a tad off in your pricing I think If you are looking for anything close to that asking price – eBay may be your best bet. Thanks!

The first rig was built by Vosk at the end of 2017, and consists of four cards. The second rig was built by Remote Mine (run by Corbin Pointer and Manraj Gill) in early 2018, and is half empty. Both rigs were used about half a year, then shut down when Remote Mine closed with hardly any warning (refusing even to break down the rigs and sell them). The rigs then got shipped to Utah, where a prospective host failed to make use of them since. As for the price, there's nothing stopping people from haggling, is there? However, it's inappropriate to come into my thread, make a bunch of faulty assumptions about the hardware, and then urinate on my suggested price for it. I will entertain counter-offers, but nothing so silly. Thank you.

I will entertain counter-offers, but nothing so silly. Thank you. You’ll have to forgive, I have been around a few years and have been Gpu mining since it was a thing. My post is in no way meant to offend you as you mentioned above: However, it's inappropriate to come into my thread, make a bunch of faulty assumptions about the hardware, and then urinate on my suggested price for it. A lot of us are seasoned miners and when a post like this comes up - it’s only a normal reaction to point out the obvious as we have seen it all, scams, sales etc. Previous posts have suggested the same as far as the price is concerned which is always an important driving factor in a WTS thread, and a seller can always negotiate or counter offer etc. 2 of the 3 previous posts were simply a reaction to the 2 BTC asking price with zero mention of an OBO (or best offer) or a (willing to negotiate), so naturally you will receive immediate reactions to the price. Pair of 1080TI rigs, built by VoskCoin and Remote Mine, respectively. Six cards in all; used only half a year. 2 BTC for the lot. Pick up in Salt Lake, or pay for shipping. I’m simply showing a comparison in the cost of the hardware from experience and using google There was no bashing directed to you personally - only to the hardware price comparison of brand new gear vs older used gear and so on, with the asking price as the driver for the post. So using only the math above with all BRAND NEW components you are a tad off in your pricing I think As far as any faulty assumptions about the hardware whatever information you just replied with was not in your OP and that was the second thing to be asked about as 6 months used is all that was shown and then a link to an old YouTube video - it is a very legitimate question - not an assumption. Again I wish you all the best and an not inappropriatly assumig anythig personal - just posting facts and comparisons - from seeing hundreds of these exact same type threads pop up over the years. Good luck with your sale! 😎

As a community we have to police ourselves and when someone is asking outrageous prices we have a duty to protect someone that may not know you are asking outrageous prices.
You trumpet that these rigs were built by specific people as that has some kind of meaning? One is a youtuber addicted to click bait titles and only giving portions of the facts on the things he talks about, the other is someone who closed up shop and disappeared in a scammy way. How does that add value to what you are trying to sell?
You may be unhappy but people have a right to call stuff like this out. You are asking literally double what the rigs are worth, and you have to know that. So why are you so upset on being called out on it?

Buck, Fanatic, et al.,
I can certainly understand being wary of scams. It would have been better if I had started my post with the exact specifications of the equipment, obviously. Due to my own error, I lost the information months ago; I've tried to get the last two holders of the rigs to give me a list, but to no avail. (Personally, I would rather keep mining, except that the current holder has become unreliable and I felt it would be better to sell.)
As for the high asking price, my assumption was that haggling would be automatically part of the method, and done via private message. The figure of 2 BTC was simply an aggressive starting point, based on the realization that there are a lot of jerks out there who would try to publicly poo-poo the hardware and drive down the price, no matter how low I set it. Anybody who acts shocked and appalled over me pointing out that simple fact is just being manipulative.
There were some suggestions as to how I might improve my listing, but I'm unsure how to implement them well. I had originally avoided saying anything like "or best offer" because I didn't want to be obligated to sell to some joker offering only five bucks. Clarification on best practices would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just ignore OP, seems like he's still in 2017-2018... I bought like 20 BRAND NEW SEALED 1080ti's (aorus and asus) for 350-380$ each. You can't even dream to get that price, but if you enjoy wasting your time feel free to.

[WTS] Posting guidelines for physical goodsThis here is a good place to start, the biggest things are to show proof of ownership, and then focus on payments accepted and if your willing to use forum trusted escrow (that's the norm around here) Those points surprisingly aren't your biggest issue with the listing, they normally are as many scammers try and skirt the issue to find a sucker. Looking at community standards on this board there is no "expectation" that the item has to be sold once listed, even if you say OBO, you can still turn down any offer. Just don't renege on a deal that you've agreed to. This changes if you say host an auction, I feel anyone starting these is making an implied contract to sell, if the minimums are met. buckrogers laid things out really well, and followed up with a great response. Your running into a pricing issue. It's rare especially in this market to find anyone paying inflated costs, or give an honest second look at an overpriced add. Now again you are allowed to price your item how you see fit, but I would take the previous advice and really consider what you deem fair and reasonable and list there. You can pick a bottom line and say firm on price. The other option is using a different venue for your sale. Good luck, and well done trying to learn how things are done here.

Well, I finally got the first step done: pictures of the assembled rig, with closeups of parts and numbers, verified by the presence of a recent periodical. I've also checked the Amazon prices for new and used cards, and set my "buy it now" suggestion based on those, in conjunction with the fact that it throws in the other hardware for free, and that it's already tested.

youre still asking way to much for your parts. I live in the same area as you and even then way too much. youre basing your price on amazon new pricing in which yes they are inflated. at best youre gonna get max 500-550 for each gpu. 550x8=$4400 look on ksl and see for yourself my man. if i was looking to buy your rig as is id offer $3500 and id be picking up locally. just because its built by voskcoin/remote mine doesnt mean you have anything special.
