The emergence of STO may not totally eradicate ICO because not everyone is interested in STO as a result of the strict regulations which some don't find interesting.

Currently crypto projects are mostly startups, they usually only have plans and ideas. Therefore there is still a lot of demand for ICO projects, because not every company has a lot of profits and long operating time like STO projects.

Take a look at ICObench, they have had a new section of STOs for a pretty long time already. I don't believe ICO (now STO) trackers, because all of them could have their own interest in promotion of any project they list, but it's not that bad way to know new STO projects from them.

Recently, STO is no longer a popular keyword. STO could not succeed like ICO, Currently only IEO is successful thanks to the steps of Binance and in the next few months I believe there will be many other exchanges that will implement IEO

Security token is the feature of all tokens as the ICO market have suffered major decline in recent time because of the fall in the market and at that it will be in the favor of the security tokens to take over the whole market because confidence will be built by the developer since it will go through some form of regulations.

BINACE's IEO has certainly been successful. I also joined.
But what if that IEO is also done a few more?
IEO succeeded by the reliability of BINACE.
And STO will be done with strict regulation.
I think that an era has come when unreliable ICOs are culled.

The market is in red zone for more than a year, so it's just the matter of time when the next ICO hype happens. I do believe that ICOs won't die and STOs won't take their place. Both types will be useful in a few years.

I think it will not be easy for the stos to take over icos as for stos to gain more fame and hype they should be fully registered and compliant with regulatory authorities and to do that i think it is not easy globally but then again if fully compliant stos start coming i will fully support them as they will help the market to get rid of fake and scam icos.

seen projects becoming a security token after an ICO so it looks like soon there will be more that is heading that way. this i guess is because of the regulations that is very strict to ICOs today. you can't even invest without filling all the information and sending the documents needed from you.

Not so many people are interested in STO, even some people said if that was fully regulated but the team can't even prove it. If this based on someone's opinion and that can't be a strong reason. ICO is still exist and recently there was a scam STO.

ICO fraud seems to be over 70%. Since STO is the same as stock certificate, I think that the probability of fraud is low.

If the purpose of choosing STO is because it was low fraudulent, it seems that this will also be the same as the ICO case that we are facing today. For example if there is an STO project that violates the terms and is proven to be a scam, who will act to investigate it?

What we need in the crypto space in trust accompanied with good projects and serious team.
We can have some reforms, but there will still be ICO.
