Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad
Gambling is a very risky venture and it is not good one should go into it without adequate knowledge on how to do it properly.  You have to know that you can lose everything and we can still make money from the market also and the money you make is loses from others gamblers.

I think they already know this before going to gambling sites or casinos, they are not that dumb. The misconception of a lot of people to gamblers is that they think that if that certain gambler get in or access a gambling site, they will not be able to stop themselves, There are still a lot of people that can stop themselves but the thing is that they just don't care with the money that they bet most of them quickly and not slowly. They do not enjoy gambling, well some do but most of the time, they don't because they are losing.

In most cases if you are trying your loses you will end up losing more and not just only in gambling but the same thing happened in trading crypto currency and Forex. All this happened because may gamblers and traders don't have or follow their money management policy because they are to emotional about their money.
Oh, you mean when they were under the effect of their emotion? Of course, any emotion would affect the strategy of a person because the level of confidence would depend on the level of his emotion but as long as you stick to your plan that won't be a problem. A very well plan would work only if the person who does it will follow.

OP was probably playing dice. You can get a losing streak there very easily and chasing your dice loss is the worst thing you can do. If it was poker or blackjack you still have a chance but dice is a wallet killer if you can't control yourself. On the positive side 3000 dollars is not much for a life changing experience. I hope you will know better and don't allow yourself to lose this much again.
No, its a bet game and a mix game in the casinos. I was not lucky that time, its hard to accept at first but i have to deal witht this one and remain positive. Its actually a huge money for me especially here in my place, but yeah lesson learned, this is the fault of my friends actually, lol.

LOL, stop blaming other people, I'm assuming you are matured enough to make a good decision.
Accepting your loss is very important but you should start accepting that the one that should be blame is non other than yourself.

Losing streak is most likely to happen if you only think of revenge. Base on your post, I know that you continued to gamble because you are thinking to get again the money you lost.

It will definitely consume your money and brain. You will be more greedy if you will win and lose. If you lose, you will more greedy and will put more money to get your lost money. I wish gamblers must know how to control themselves to prevent losing many money.

Money management only works for gambling. In trading or forex you also need the full knowledge of charts and pattern before you can actually earn good from it. Gambling however is only a game of luck and controlling your emotions. If you can control yourself and restrict yourself to invest only a certain amount in gambling, then you will be safe from worst situation where people even sell their houses to coverup gambling loses.

Lol. I am beginning to think the new account are allowed to win some money to give them false  confidence and  encourage them to gamble more.  Gambling on new accounts and ip could prove this theory right or wrong.
This may never happen on blockchain gambling. Why not give it a try.

Indeed, this malpractice will only cause bad things not only with their savings but also with their minds, it will pollute things which not common
with normal people, if you keep doing it and chase your loses it will add more to the point that there's no point of returned anymore but to be addicted
and the end result will be depressions, regretting that you spend lots of your time engaging with wrong practice such as gambling.

Limitations will allow you to overpower the potentials of getting addicted, if you know how stop right away and treat gambling to enjoy and relax it will
not lead you to ask for more but to just satisfied your lust.

Your $3000 really isn't that much, I know people that have lost millions on gambling.  A regular casino wouldn't even bat an eye at those type of small amounts.  Gambling should be looked at as entertainment, you may get lucky but over the long run the casino will win.

Gamble money what you can afford to lose so to speak. Though I lost a pretty hefty money before and learned my lesson from that moment. I only gamble for fun now. Just use your extra money to do this.

Sad

Though is not too long I joined the gambling games casino and my experience has been negative and I intended to quit the stuff before it's become too late.

Whenever I loss in any game even in the traditional setting's I quit as much as I could to avert other losses.

It is a common problem of all gamblers out there. When we want to get back our loses, that's the time that we will just lose more than we lose at first which is not good and at the same time gambling controlling our mind now at that point because of that thought. So let's not wait that moment that when we play gambling, gambling will control our mind and we lose our control. Let's put some plan or limit before playing it.

If gambling becomes our main activity, of course our brains will be full with gambling stuffs and things. With the amount of free time that we can use on gambling, curiosity about how our luck will be will definitely dominate our minds and bad things of course will easily occur. There will be no exit point in gambling if we can't control our minds. Whether we win or lose, we will keep gambling!

On contrary, if we gamble with discipline, meaning we have the ability to control ourselves and we have proven we are have potential in gambling
then I think it will be favorable in our part if we give time to it like doing it daily, the more we gamble the better profit we will get.

I don't have the same experience as you. But you know what? You make a bad decision to continue playing gambling after you lose $500 and if you can think more, you should quit gambling at that moment, and you should leave the casino. You already have a bad experience on that day, but you always have a second chance to fix your life and not to come back to the gambling games. Chasing your losses will not easy as we say because we don't know when we can get lucky in the games. So in these situations, you need to stay away from gambling for a while, do something else that will help you to not think about gambling. Never say yes with your friend asking you to go to gambling places because you already get a big loss.

It's great that you have realized the fact that gambling is slowly eating your brain and money both. A lot of addicted gamblers do not realize that and that's why they are not able to recover from that situation. Your confession doesn't sound similar to the addicted gamblers, so congratulations! You aren't an addicted gamblers as of now!

I too had a similar experience but in stock market trading! Where I had lost almost 55% of my salary income in a single day trade. I had to borrow money from my dad to survive for that month! That experience effectively discouraged me from getting into day trade and I became an investors from trader. I stopped playing around with stocks, instead I now find good Mid-cap/high-cap companies and invest in their stocks with long term goal. So I believe having one bad experience is OK, if you learn from it and stop using the same method again! Even though it is a hard way to learn, but very effective!
