I am just curious to know if you can buy lottery tickets for your own national lottery in your country. I am not referring to all these scam gambling sites with supposed "Provably Fair" lottery systems.

I bought some lottery tickets online and I was only presented with the old traditional payment options and I figured it is time for us to approach these Lottery operators, to ask for a Bitcoin payment option.  Wink

If enough people ask for this, they just might consider giving us that option to pay with bitcoins.  Grin  What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?

The supposed national lottery ticket in my own country can be obtain simply by the use of traditional means, as digital currency has not be implemented into our payment methods. Our National Lottery ticket is made available by our local currency but believe that in due time the government will allow bitcoin as one of it options for payment as they are much working on it(Bitcoin) adoption.
Same in my country, you can also pay it using paper money and I don't think that they will accept Crypto Currency without any kind of third-party payment methods. But I can pay my bills like internet bill, water bills, electric bills, and many more using Crypto Currency in my country because there is a licensed Crypto wallet/trading platform and it is approved by our central bank, we can actually pay our bills and a lot of stuff using that third-party payment method using our Crypto Currencies, It accepts Bitcoin, Bitcoin cash, Ethereum, and Ripple. As of now, the country where I belong still doesn't allow Bitcoin as a payment for the National Lottery Tickets. But there is no impossible because the country I am living now already been exposed to the running crypto currencies most especially to Bitcoin. Maybe sooner or later, we can also buy National Tickets here using Bitcoin.

In my country the non approval of bitcoin as a digital currency and disapproval by the Central Bank is responsible for the non acceptance by all the registered and regulated Lottery Agencies, although there had been a massive clamor for it acceptance.
I belief if the government considered it as an additional forms of generating more revenues via taxes imposed on the Lottery Bodies maybe the government of the day may decide to change its stance on the acceptance and adoption of bitcoin as a means of payment for lottery tickets.

I envy your country because you can buy your lotto tickest online while in our country, it is still on a traditional way of falling in line and much harder when the jackpot hits billion. Thanks for that idea and I will propose that in our country and suggest not just online but also the cryptocurrency payment like btc.

Being able to pay for National Lottery tickets with the use of bitcoin would be a great idea but currently my country has not implemented this yet. Hopefully they can do add this interesting feature so that crypto enthusiasts like myself can start staking in the national lotto with our bitcoins. this would even help to let more people get to hear about the use of bitcoin in making transactions which is a good idea if we want to see bitcoin legally approved in the near future.

In my country this is not possible, at least not by direct Bitcoin payment. But you can use Bitcoin debit card for payment. Though this is not possible directly at Lottery kiosks but you can use such cards online. Tax authorities on my countries are very careful about lottery and gambling because of money laundering and other illegal activities and payment with cryptocurrencies is not regulated in any way.

We have not this payment method. Because BTC is illegal in our country. Anyway Even if BTC will be legal, why do we need it?
BTC is an uncomfortable way to pay for such things. This can only be a small step for the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the world and no more.
We have many other areas where the payment of cryptocurrency will be more convenient and useful.

- Indeed, bitcoin is not a legitimate payment in most countries around the world because of its volatility and uncontrollable, and even if the government allows people to use it and businesses accept it, everything is as you say, it is also not a good method for payment, the confirmation process is very complicated and sometimes it will encounter a lot of problems, affecting buyers and businesses. In addition, bitcoin users know that this payment option is for emergencies only, in normal circumstances, cash is still more convenient, Bitcoin is not an asset for us to spend and waste

Presently ,there's only payment option using Fiat currency or dollar in my country.
It would be interesting and exciting if these lottery platforms can introduce bitcoin payment as one of it's payment option.

What payment options do you have for online lottery in your country?

As far as i know from the country were i live, the way we bet in lotto is by buying the ticket at the store. I havent seen nor heard that there was an online payment for our lotto tickets. There are some site that provide betting for lotto but im highly suspicious about it.

If there was an online payment for that then i think bitcoin payment or other crypto type of payment wont be allowed as its to volatile to deal with.

because the government in our country has not yet inaugurated cryptocurrency, we cannot make current transactions including buying lottery tickets.
most likely to be able to do crypto transactions takes a long time in this country.

until now the government in my country does not allow the use of Bitcoin as a tool to pay and even buy in lotteries, they reason that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is not a legitimate currency.  honestly, I don't care about their response to Bitcoin right now because I know that in the future Bitcoin will be regulated and utilized by the state to help the economy.

No, there are only few merchants that accepts cryptocurrency in our country and that doesn't include the lottery office/shop in our country. However, our local wallet allows us to convert bitcoin to fiat which is partnered with a lot of merchants. We can buy phone credits, online game credits, pay our utility bills, shop online and a lot more. So, it's pretty convenient to use bitcoin in our country.

At my country you can buy some of those lottery tickets via a specific web page from the lottery itself.
It has different prices and different lottery types.
It's easy to buy some as it has their own transaction / exchange system.
And everyone is legitm so no worries about being a scam. As some of the Gamblers have also proven their profits and transactions.

Nothing to see here

Here in Canada we got the OLG

1. They should be showing proof of fairness with blockchain tech "Cryptography". I mean it is pretty easy for them to rig it this would stop them.
2. They should be accepting bitcoin, It makes it easier if you won to prove who won, what if someone steals your ticket? or you lose it?

Using bitcoin as payment for s lottery is still far away fron reality in my country although an e-payment that uses fiat as payment is already existing. There are many available bitcoin exchanges in my countries but no one of them offers payment for lotto. One of the popular bitcoin exchanges offers bill payments, payment for passport applications like passport and airfares. In the near future, bitcoin payment for lottery may become possible because of the continuing adoption.
