I read many complaints from tunisian users in a facebook local group, about their binance accounts being locked or banned for non-determined reasons.
Anyone can confirm or explain this. Or if more countries are also subject for this new policy.
Note that complainers confirm that they didn't receive notices about the lock and many of them still have funds in their accounts balances.

Am not certain about some details because this is only based on the complaints i read from users.

I don't know about thes restrictions. However binance doesn't require kyc, so it will be easily bypassed as long as you don't do kyc

Maybe a VPN may be needed as well if you can't log in.

It's funny that this happens in Tunisia when they are more open to cryptocurrencies. In the other hand, you have Algeria and Morocco where cryptocurrencies are banned and yet, exchanges still operate there.

Do you mean cryptocurrencies are banned by low in those coutries? Why exchanges change their policies for certain coutries like Tunisia.

Thanks to decentralized exchanges.

This is not correct. Kyc on binance is not compulsory and you can withdrawal 2 BTC without any kyc.

It's only compulsory if you have more than 2 BTC there.

Never heard of that news or announcement before, if you care would you link it here.
AFAIK like what mentioned above you will only ask KYC if you're trying to withdraw >2 BTC and KYC is not required so...

Like talking to a wall, I didnt have more than 2 BTC, and they asked me KYC 2 months ago.

I tried to do it, but they also banned my country. After sent them a question about it, they said they dont support my country anymore, so I can withdraw everything I had there and thats it.

You want a link lol?

It's been a wee while since I've used it but I've never been verified and could withdraw just fine. On checking my account just now there's nothing other than the 2 BTC limit for unverified users mentioned.

If they can tell you're from one of the countries they're unattracted to then it's a different matter.

If you are not stupid, you should know how to use Google search.

You are the one looking stupid, as this link you sent doesn't say they are enforcing kyc. Just that they made a partnership to do kyc (which they already do if you want to withdrawal more handsome 2 BTC).

Send a real link or screenshot or whatever, otherwise nobody will believe you. I use binance and they never asked me kyc. I am interested if what you are saying is true, but it really doesn't looks like the case.

As far as I know, the banned countries are Iran, Myanmar, Belarus, and Romania. Tunisia is not in that list, in addition to being far from being banned because of the nature of Tunisia's tourism and regulating laws.

As mentioned above, these complaints appear to be individual and do not represent a ban against a particular country or region.

Why exchanges change their policies for certain countries like Tunisia.
There is no logical reason for that.

Post this post in the Arabic section you will get more information or Binance - Reddit

If you're not stupid you will not link a non-sense article unrelated to what you're talking inforcing kyc?

Never get any email notification nor any related of inforcing kyc as I have an account which is not kyc verified yet.

We have already discussed this topic more then a month ago in Press board : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5093827.0

There are some countries in which Binance is stop operating, but Romania is not in that list because user stompix say his friend from that country is still using Binance without problem. They are just start to implement some rules from their TOS which amongst other things says :

Quote
Prohibition of use

By accessing and using Binance and any of its services, you acknowledge and declare that you are not on any trade or economic sanctions lists, such as the UN Security Council Sanctions list or OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control of the U.S. Treasury Department). Binance maintains the right to select its markets and jurisdictions to operate and may restrict or deny its services to certain countries. The content of this Agreement shall not be excluded from the laws of the country under which the user belongs. Binance maintains its stance that prohibited users are not to use or access Binance and any of its services.

Maybe a VPN may be needed as well if you can't log in.

Doubt that a VPN is going to help when an account is already flagged as coming from one of the restricted countries.

It seems like that Binance is really becoming extremely tight when it comes to compliance now, and it as expected since they simply weren't going to last as an exchange if they continued to offer pseudo-anonymous accounts with a 2 BTC daily withdrawal limit (which is way more than what most people need).

And yes, I've heard people being randomly flagged for KYC without hitting the 2 BTC withdrawal on another thread. So that is no hoax, it seems. If you're in one of the countries that are newly banned and Binance is letting you withdraw and close your account - do that. If they're asking you to verify, you pretty much have no option but to do that either if you have a balance with them. Don't try to bypass this with VPN (even if it may work).

I think that What is happening with Binance is exactly what happened with Bittrex before, even tho Bittrex had 2 BTC limit for unverified users they started to force KYC on accounts that have no 2FA then slowly they forced KYC, so even if Binance is not forcing KYC they will start to force it soon that how things always work especially after they introduced their credit card options.
