Bitmain has announced that they have developed their 2nd-gen 7nm chip, operating at an efficiency of 30J/TH. Link to blog post: https://blog.bitmain.com/en/bitmain-announces-next-generation-7nm-asic-chip-for-sha256-mining-delivering-breakthrough-energy-efficiency/

A 28.6% jump in claimed efficiency is huge if this turns out to be true.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

puts me on hold for buying.  since it could do  40watts a th on low and 50 watts a th on high.

It would make me not want to fully go to m10's

I am mostly m10's and s9's

much smaller then you  but still growing in solar power.

100kwatt array
300kwatt array

may be doing a 500kwatt array soon.

I'm definitely holding off. I was on the verge of swapping out all of my T1's / 821's for T15's / S15's but when(if?) the release of these 2nd-gen comes about the prices for these will drop considerably. Don't want to pay 1k for something I could pay 400 for in a few months.
