About
With Maki we have opted for stability over a rapid deflationary design
as reflected in the 4 year cycle for the block reward halving.
This will help maintain a Equilibrium in the price of Maki so businesses,
merchants and consumers alike can feel more confident that there
won't be wild price fluctuations due to technicalities of the coin design.

Since we are serious about Maki we had to implement KGW from the start
to protect the coin from mass variations in network hashing power.

The Premine of 0.15% we thought was fair to cover initial giveaways,
promotions , marketing etc to help get Maki off the ground

We felt that Maki is a currency for the people and not for the few individuals with the greatest network hashing power, what this causes is a few miners to have too much control over one currency.
We know this can also occur with Scrypt but not to the same degree.

90% of the coins created are mainly for pump and dump (scam) coins, this is not the case with Maki as emphasized by our small premine. With Maki we will have a specific target market for it and
we believe we will have the right liquidity to satisfy everyones tastes.

From the start we wanted to make it clear that Maki is not a pump and dump scam coin. We are serious about the vision set in place for the currency.

Just to add that it's very important for us that the community gets behind Maki and we didn't want any doubts in peoples minds. The small premine will be used for giveaways
