Wow! This is totally a great news for me to hear about the Bitcoin. Now it is very pleased to hear that only a few more countries are said to be in an illegal state in terms of Bitcoin. But I know for sure that this 111 countries that are yet legal in Bitcoin will come to add more and more as the days goes by leaving behind the number of illegal countries to Bitcoin to zero.

China and India are the big markets for the crypto, the population of these two countries are huge and they are really good supporters of crypto. So, if bitcoin can be legal in these two countries then I think crypto will be accepted widely and the market will be very bigger than now! Last year, we have seen much news from India, the government of India's position about crypto still confusing, one of the big exchanges has stopped there! If I am not wrong, Most of the Bitcoin miners lives in Chin! So, these two countries can make a good impact if the crypto officially accepts there!

it is wonderful knowing there are lots of countries who have bitcoin legalized. It goes to show its adoption is gradually spreading across the globe and soon enough we will see it fully adopted even by countries who initially had a restriction on the use of bitcoin

But the citizens of the country where Bitcoin is illegal are taking part in cryptocurrency, we have some people from Vietnam and other countries actively participating in trading and bounty hunters and some of them are developers also or part of a cryptocurrency project.

Even though restrictions of using bitcoin has been placed on those countries I believe they can still transact bitcoin by proxy, mining, trading of bitcoin can be operated anonymously, meanwhile its a good development to see whooping 111 countries already using  bitcoin legally which reinforces the fact that bitcoin has stamp its root in virtual digital asset.

i agree when you say proxy  . yes  block crypto sites can be accesible using proxies because a country cannot fullyy block onine websites  they can only block local crypto related service and establishements . that is for now but sooner or later those ten countries can definetly change thier minds and they will soon to un ban cryptos because they'll be afraid to be left behind thinking that crypto is now starting to boom .

This is the reason of why i don't believe that Bitcoin will  disappear or a bubble as many countries are already supporting Bitcoin with more and more are now considering to support it as they are now starting to draft their own regulations. Hopefully the whole world will accept and recognize Bitcoin so that it can be use anywhere like the US Dollar.
LOL, those people that keep on saying and spreading that Bitcoin will be gone soon or die soon are just FUD spreaders that wanted the price to go down for their own benefit. FUD spreading is already a classic evil move by ill-minded people and this is already happening a lot of time through Bitcoin's existence and you'll find this kind of people on different forums and social media spreading false news. Cheesy

It's kinda funny to realise that bitcoin is illegal or restricted in most of the "not-so-democratic" countries.
The real problem is the unclear status of bitcoin in the Tier1 countries(USA,UK,Canada,Australia,New Zealand)+the EU countries.By 'unclear' I mean that bitcoin isn't considered a currency. It's still considered as a digital asset.
I guess they have a point why Bitcoin is considered as an asset and not a currency because of its use today, seriously it is not used as a currency to buy stuff on the internet but it is used as an investment medium by people, a speculative asset that favors the speculative trading industry.

Currently, it says Bitcoin is illegal in only the following ten countries or regions: Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Pakistan, Qatar, Republic of Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Vanuatu, and Vietnam.

does this mean that a small group called the government decided to make bitcoin illegal and i wonder what were the reasons why those countries made bitcoin illegal? did they use these arguments: "Bitcoin is used to finance terrorism and money laundering."? But money launderers are the corrupt politicians who use Fiat to launder money, and terrorism has more religious and political motivation.

it has a lot of different reasons in different cases. but most of the times, specially in these third world underdeveloped countries it is about the government being afraid of them losing the control they already have over everything and also afraid of their corruption not working as best as before if people were to start exiting their control.

That has become a normal thing in my opinion, initially bitcoin is illegal in many countries but with high enthusiasm from the people, the government will take action with all the regulations made whether it will be legalized, restrictions etc. There have been many who predicted in the past that bitcoin will become legal in many countries and now we can see the fact that bitcoin continues to grow and is recognized as a legitimate digital currency.

Precisely mate, cryptocurrency in that 10 countries are illegal because of the reason that their country does not really benefit from cryptocurrency. Unlike the U.S and other countries, startup companies in blockchain really made their stuff to contribute to the economy of their nation and that is the reason why they were considered on their country to still operate their businesses.

Cryptocurrency is still young and will be adapted and accepted by all the countries soon. Bitcoin is the most successful cryptocurrency but it doesn't mean it could not be developed. Once the time has come that bitcoin will be developed so well that I will be accepted, that is the time it will be considered globally.

I don't know how accurate this statistics is but still it's supports my theory that majority of countries is not trying to supress Bitcoin like many think. The attitude towards Bitcoin changed for the better with time and in many countries you can freely use Bitcoins without any question asked. Also, more and more countries are regulating Bitcoin not to ban it and to put it out of the law but to give it some legal framework and to enable it to be introduced into economy and society.

the information provided by that site is not that accurate but the overall stat is pretty much what the title is saying. the site is mostly reporting from news sites and many of them are unreliable articles which is why it is not accurate.
as for the attitude I have to say it has never been negative towards bitcoin in general. at worst it was skeptical and a warning-like approach in most countries. and slowly it turned into acceptance in majority if them.

Right. Some of the sites that are referred to are news sites with low trust, even the information they get is not perfect. I have checked more than 50% of these sites, the information obtained by coindance has a good confirmation system and tries to be discussed by several experts.

Most crypto users are those who do not know the legality document, even this forum is dominated by students. So they prefer to link online media rather than official state documents or cryptocurrency use laws. So, I think the statistics are acceptable with logic, even though the update is late.

Agreed, there are people who have made it come to reality. I came across and service provided to an client through bitpay. He wish to buy a property with bitcoin. Bitpay took care of each and every documentation and got paid in terms of bitcoin and paid the seller in terms of fiat. We need to explore to get the best.

This is good news, where many countries legalize Bitcoin, which means that every country is very supportive of the existence of this digital currency so that more interested people will adopt Bitcoin.

They still have option to use bitcoin only if they want to. Tagging bitcoin as illegal is one thing that we already survive before and for sure those 10 countries will revised that one as soon as the market adopts by many companies as it grows wider. They need to be more patient, and better to follow the regulations so no problem will incur if the authority caught you using bitcoin.

Wow, good to know that the legalization of bitcoin has so much of dominance over all the countries in the world. I certainly didn't know that bitcoin is legal in so many countries.
I am from India and yes we can say that it is kind of restricted to use bitcoins in India but I know many people who still use it including myself  Tongue
I am still wondering what does 'Alegal' mean in the map.
