The problem here is you invested in fraud, your emotion is not anymore important, even if you hold, you already made a mistake, so you are bound to losing money.

Not only the whitepaper because some people know how to make beautiful papers but also check for their existing licenses and if those docs are really authentic. In this age, anyone can make papers to look legit. Look for the team members involved and try to contact one of them and confirm their involvement in the project, if you have time to do that. I did that one time via linkedin because I had suspicions. Good thing, that person replied and appreciate my action of checking their existence.

If you learn, then you should not need to wait until someone tell you those are frauds. What's the point from learning then?
By just learn your fault is not enough, when frauds in these days are really creative and packed so they can look like "legit" stuff.

I guess investors does not have to worry getting scam now as IEO has solve that risk in the market.
At the early stage of ICO, there are fake and legit projects, but if you are wise enough, sure you will not fall for the fake once.

I don't agree against it, there is no idea to be a victim first to avoid from the scammer. We have a high IQ and we will know the project is scam it is simple, isn't it? Also with the other people's experiences are enough to telling me the scam project and the legit project.   Sometimes projects that make a very professional whitepaper and roadmap are really great. but among them there are also scam projects and my advice is not to invest in projects that don't have a big community.
Because community is a very important thing, it can turn a trivial project into a big potential and development project like TRON.
When you invest in such projects, you will be more profitable.
