Short Term = Two to Four years.

Quantum Computers will come and go retail much much much earlier then anyone thought, so data encryption and cryptography will need to see a huge update, this is bigger than the Y2K bug, way, way bigger, the hacking capabilities of Quantum Computers are incomparable with anything we have now.

IoE (Internet of Everything) is soon here, we will see everything connected, new cheaper and smaller IoT devices are released continuously, so soon we will hit that sweet price/value point and there will be no question anymore, we will see things that make sense to have connected and things that make absolutely no sense to have connected.

I think about everything being connected you are very right. We can already buy devices to track and control cars, Air conditioners, electric appliances and the concept of smart homes is also all about being connected even smart cities are also being developed so yes we are going to see wireless control for everything with few clicks in near future.

There will be a lot of data to be shared and processed. I agree. But, how will decentralized system handle this huge amount of data when we know how bad the scaling in decentralized systems currently is? How are they perfect for this task?

I don't think that quantum computers will be affordable for a regular person anytime soon.

I agree with you on this, we have a lot more to see in the future, things that seems impossible now will become very possible then and i believe that the blockchain will spearhead this great move, where everything will become transparent and advance yet still anonymous. I believe that in the nearest future, even immortality will soon be possible. It's just my opinion and observation though.

I don't know this IoT or Internet of Things But I have seen Sim cards that are using the same technology, But I don't care, I really think there are ups and downs to all things and especially technology when you are connected to the internet there is nothing really safe the privacy if very not clear many hackers can surely bypass anything they too can upgrade and equip themselves with higher technology, And even if there are so many people are hype about this I am not one of them, Like the latest smartphone that will feature protection for your blockchain information I think we should not make interest off it if there is not much to feature and the cost of all things are way out of my league.

I do agree with your second prediction, AI and IOTs are the future and we can see them in operation everywhere now, I can see them disrupting almost every field including medicine, my fear is just how do man plan to adjust to this changes and the impact on employment generation. As for Quantum computers, I still fell there is still in way to go before it becomes widely applicable

We have all heard about quantum computers, but it is too early for community. So if we have quantum computers today or tomorrow, it will be the end for so many things, not just for crypto. As far as I know, it is already present, but it is kept secret from the community because it will cause big problems to get into the hands of people.

Do you think that quantum computer is a real thing? How about the possibility for quantum computer to thread crypto. I guesss thousands TPS can handle it. Remember not all of things will always run on its own way dude.

It is possible that with technological advancements, it will have a major impact on the development of digital money, as we know for the next few years, we might switch completely to digital money so we need technology that can reach all aspects of life.

The power needed to run them will not make them retail friendly and the cost will be out of reach for regular people. This is not something to worry about for the next decade at least

Don't underestimate with Quantum Computers because I think it's a supercomputer which has the power to do many things at the same time. But with the present of Quantum Computers, it will change the technology now because there will be a new era which most of what we did will be worked by those computers.
Besides that, the hacking process will be more dangerous since they can have another quantum computer too and it makes them can hack more effective. But I am sure that the security to protect the network will always upgrade to prevent the hacking itself.
And with the project which claims for using Quantum Computers, they need to be aware of the hacker attacks because they don't know where the attack will come.

Although everyone is talking about iot and stuff and its future impact if we talk specifically about blockchain based iot projects we still are on the fence and still waiting for a high quality product and iot service based on blockchain for example helbiz was a project that was to produce iot devices that can be installed in any car and then anyone can hire or rent that car but even after a year the project has not been able to launch its products and business which is not encouraging for the supporters.
