i do not think that the various bounty managers are informed before about the real intentions of the team of the icos, however now is almost an unwritten rule the extension of the ico for a few months because they all plod and can no longer raise enough money, instead is write it since beginning that the rules can change at any time, the only way to protect yourself in some way is ask that the bounty tokens be transferred at the beginning of campaign at an escrow

As far as I know if the bounty manager is not part of the team then all the changes will be coming from the core team so don't blame the bounty manager as they just following the order of ICO owner but I think they also have some responsibility to clear issue like these with the team to avoid confusion on the bounty participants.

It's a good approach to ask but most answers you'll get are lies to get more bounty hunters or just the response 'wait, we can't say it yet, it will be announced 'soon''. Joining a bounty is always a risk of being scammed for the time and the majority of projects don't follow their own rules.
Most of these ICO is a scam that's why bounty hunters should ask a question first whether they have to add something at the end of the campaign. It is being practiced in most ICO to add/change some rules after the campaign is over. Although, there are trustworthy bounty managers but you can barely count them unlike to those newbies manager.

If I am in your position, I will not participate again and choose to leave the bounty. By force, it has become an indicator that they only want to commit fraud and use all those who participate in their bounties to promote their fraudulent projects.

In most bounties, I think the rules of participation are explicitly spelt out to everyone who wish to take part. Sometimes, such concerns as raised are legitimate questions to ask but you may not always get the right answers from bounty managers. Mostly, changes are made by the team behind the project and not the bounty manger.

Its now in the nature of bounty managers to go back on their words and fail to fulfill their promises. It's either they're extending dates, reducing rewards, delaying payments etc Verifying,by asking all this questions would change none of this, even if they give positive answers initially, they could still come up with one excuse or the other and ask for understanding and patience I think the only way this can be stopped is if some sort of legal action can be taken against managers who back down on their initial words

I like these questions but from what I noticed recently from a certain bounty I am doing is that sometimes these changes are not the fault of the bounty manager, sometimes they want everything to be as it were from the beginning of the bounty but due to unforeseen circumstances, the rules are meant to change, so I think the bounty manager might not be able to give adequate answers because the project just started.

Correctly. You have to analyze some points and be sure to ask questions to bounty managers to find out all the points. This will help to make an objective decision.

Before participating in the bounty campaigns, you must make sure that the development team is real people who will not deceive you. Despite this, the rules may change during the campaign.

I also had a similar issue with a bounty I participated at a particular time he extended the bounty period without reviewing the bounty pools and all the efforts in allowing those who want to quit were met with deaf ear, and he is threatening non payment of token to those hunters that defies his order its was a bad experience but I had to move on.

Recently, I just had this bad experience with a bounty campaign I joined (Vanta to be specific). They've extended the campaign, added some task, and threatened participants that they'll not get all the bounty rewards if they won't participate. I raised my concerns to the bounty manager and I was quite disappointed with the response.
To all fellow hunters, you may want to ask this questions to your bounty managers before joining a campaign:
1. Bounty campaign extension - Will the team ask for an increase in the bounty pool? - Will the team close the registration and allow only those participants prior to extension?
2. ICO team inserting rules after the campaign - Will the team allow ICO teams add rules like exchange voting and require hunters to participate? - What would be the bounty team's response if ICO teams would withhold the bounty rewards to force hunters to participate?
These questions might help you understand how strong the bounty manager is when it comes to protecting its group of bounty hunters.

I don't think honestly that asking this questions about the campaign from the bounty manager will make a difference. They can still tell you NO to all the questions but still add them in future of the bounty campaign.

I don't think these questions will be helpful. Because most of the bounty campaigns depend on the progress of the token sale. Right? For the bearish crypto market, ICO projects are facing many obstacles to reach the soft cap! Without soft cap means all the hard work, time is worthless, right? So, 90% of ICO projects are extending their sale to make the soft cap!
So, Bounty campaigns depend on the project's decision. I am doing VANTA bounty too, they told bounty hunters to trade VNT token to get the bounty reward. So, this is not the bounty manager's fault, he did not know about this competition, therefore, if you follow these instructions then you will get your bounty payment with extra bonus token.

When I have ample time, I usually do check and visit.the bounties section and there is one particular rule at the very end of their threads.
That particular rule says that the bounty rules might change anytime and the bounty manager is just the one that manages the campaign and counts post. From the very beginning when you want to join a bounty, learn and research about that project.

Such thing are under the guidance and prerogative of the bounty team and we should be updated to their terms because from time to time they could change the rules and it depends to them, we should be openly open for changes, I know being a participant is hard but we need to adapt for possible changes.

The bounty managers most times are ill informed about the project plans for its marketing that is why they continue to reel out more rules as the campaign progressed based on information received from ICO team.

You recommend in the beginning to ask the bounty manager about a lot of things but the reality is a lot of bounty manager (I don't know this desire of the ICO team or the desire unilaterally by the bounty manager) change the rules and differerent from the early rules. We as a bounty hunter sometimes, such as stuck and even if we protest sometimes a lot of bounty manager is not a professional who actually ban people with a lot of questions. But if we have a lot experience of bounty,we already know the characteristics of many bounty manager. So if we already have bad experience with that bounty manager its better don't follow him anymore.

It is because if your late experience with the bounty, that has made you to be able to come up with these questions. There will still be more questions, because some team will also come up with other things. Most times, the bounty manager is not usually aware of these developments, which us why it is always being stated that rules might change.

Some bounty managers has terms and condition like this "we have the right to change any rules", We have nothing to do about it. If there is nothing like this is done and they change suddenly you can archieve the site here and fight for your rights. About the extension its good to earn more tokens but if allocation does not increase maybe not. The common rules ico team implement after the campaign is KYC. There is nothing to worry if the project is legit it also minimize and eliminate cheaters.

for now almost all bounties have rules that can change at any time, depending on the needs of the team. sometimes we as bounty hunters are not valued when participating from the start and offer their projects. This is the reality that exists today, if you agree to follow the rules, but if you can't, you can just leave the project.

That is unfair if you are saying the truth. If they want extension all of a sudden then they should still pay the stakes that were given to certain bounty hunters who will not participate for the extension.
They should have just given a certain bonus for those who will participate until the end of the extension for the bounty hunters to stay in their program. That way it could be more inviting to them instead of leaving.
