Yeah it will make the trust list using system much easier specially for new users. Where some users haven't understant the system of adding someone on trust list. Having a button on each members profile can help them to add someone on their trust list easily IMO.

Where some users haven't understant the system of adding someone on trust list. Having a button on each members profile can help them to add someone on their trust list easily IMO.
If they can’t understand it, why would they bother to use it? Would it be illogical if we have such button for everyone to just push/click it without even understanding what it’s purpose? Since they don’t know exactly what is it, they will just be founding on what the user is saying and just click that button – it would be a like button for them.

Instead of button, in the trust settings; when you click Update it will pop-up something like “You have selected/inputted with similar names, are you sure these are the real users you want to put in your trust list?”, then names of possible similar names will appear and people can just click the right person.

EDIT:
It very well could wind up being misused/abused this way. In reality though the current system can/does get used this way, it's just a little more difficult to do.
Exactly, it might be the reason why it is designed that way, to make it a little more difficult for misused/abused.

The idea behind this was originally spawned when I read a topic LoyceV created about adding the wrong user by mistake due to a typo or similar account name.

What I would like in theory would be a "button" to add or exclude a member from your custom trust list. It would be on everyone's profile, so that to perform those actions you just have to find the proper profile and select it. Each button would come up with a little box with a small explanation of what each action does. The description could also have a link to appropriate information sources on trust,DT, or anything else deemed relevant to the overall system.

Would it be illogical if we have such button for everyone to just push/click it without even understanding what it’s purpose? Since they don’t know exactly what is it, they will just be founding on what the user is saying and just click that button

It very well could wind up being misused/abused this way. In reality though the current system can/does get used this way, it's just a little more difficult to do. The reality is though any users using it in that fashion will find themselves excluded by other DT members for having a flimsy/poor trust network.

Edit: Forgot to mention the above italicized exclude, came from LFC_Bitcoins post above.

I haven't thought about the trust list thing because I think it's quite hectic to manually add people on your list. A button would make everything much easier and I would obviously pick up some interest to try out the trust system but for now am off grid as far as Trust lists are concerned.
Who knows, there could be hundreds of other people like me.

I'm supporting this.

People are lazy! This way to reduce the number of clicks could be an improvement for the trust system.

The idea is not bad at all, but it won't solve nothing, people don't make their own custom list because they don't care, being lazy is not the reason, and honestly let's face it , it's safe to assume that the majority of members here do not trade on forum and could care less who is to be trusted, all they do is either have fun or spam to get some bounty tokens, those who really care about their trust list won't find it difficult to do with the current set up.

anyhow if this idea is ever implemented, a dialog box for confirmation should pop-up, we don't want to add random members by mistake, and this shit happens a lot i accidentally put one of my favorite members on ignore a few weeks back due to the lack of a yes/no pop-up message.

but it also can make the trust list unusable.
As then many just click without thinking about the result.

If you understand the system it is nice to have, but I will see that many users with hundreds of people in the trust list which, in my view, is also not a good idea.

I agree with this request, especially after my latest mistake where I have added the wrong member because of misspelled username.

With this feature, such obvious mistakes would never happen again or would be lowered to the minimum.

I am in 100% support.

Having an easier way than going through a song and dance to add or remove someone from the trust list will be nice.

I barely got my list set up in the last month or so;  and would like to keep it updated... but often don't have the time to do so or couldnt be bothered..

The trust list should be taken more seriously than a like button.

This would be cool, keeping an upto date trustlist is key and the easier it is for members the more likely the list will be maintained. Just because someone was trusted doesn’t mean they always will be, a simple option to add/remove will encourage more activity on trustlists IMO

I doubt we are going to see this feature added any time soon but one way to play around this and add buttons for adding or removing members to your trust list is using latest BPIP browser extension.
It adds buttons to add and remove members from your trust list, and there are other button icons for LoyceV and Ninjastic.space website if you enable them in extension settings.
Works fine for me so far, and here is example how it looks like:

Why distrust button when one could just press the ignore button and the user is out of your way forever? Why use your limited time on earth to put down names of distrust users manually?

  • Distrust button
  • Ignore button

Maybe someone should explain the difference to me.
