Is there a site showing the price of crypto coins over time compared to the value of btc or dollar at a specific day?

There are alot of sites where you can look how the price of some coin changed over time, but when the site compares the value of some coin X, to the value of dollar or btc, it compares to the value dollar/btc at same day X.

So what if I wanted to compare lets say how much the value (or market cap) of NXT increased or decreased over time in BTC (January 1st 2014 bitcoin value), is there any site that allows me to see that info?

EDIT:

To those unsure what I want, this is how it would be done (and can be done) if it was done manually:

Assuming you want to compare nxt and will use Dollar (january first 2014) as the guideline, you can do this:

First, you look at some normal site and find that:
1 Dollar (january first 2014)  = 1*X dollars (january first 2015)
1 Dollar (january first 2014)  = 1*Y dollars (january first 2016)
1 NXT (january first 2014) =  Z Dollars (january first 2014)
1 NXT (january first 2015) =  W Dollars (january first 2015)
1 NXT (january first 2016) =  N Dollars (january first 2016)

Based at all that info, then you calculate and find the value you want, as some example to find the value of NXT (january first 2015) you would do:
1 NXT (january first 2015) =  (W Dollar (January first 2015)) / X

Assuming you want to find the value of NXT (january first 2016) you would do.
1 NXT (january first 2016) =  (N Dollar (January first 2016)) / Y

I don't know what exactly tool you are talking about but you can manually compare the value of the coin using coinmarketcap.

As your sample here is the NXT that includes the graph from 2014 to present https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nxt/

You can check them by pointing your mouse to the graph and you will see the date, price value in USD, Price value in BTC, Market cap and Volume.
Which I think the exact tool that I think you are looking for?

You can also use the historical data and use the custom date range where you can compare the date from years ago to present.

This site was specifically what I was not asking for.

At this site (and all other sites I know), if I try to look at the price of ETH (at the day X), it will show its value converted BTC (value at the day X), then if I look the value of ETH at day X+1 it will show the its value converted to BTC (value at the day X+1).

The thing is what if the value of ETH at day X+1 is the same value as the value of ETH at day X, but the value of BTC decreased 1%, this decrease will increase the value the site will show for ETH price, because its comparing to this decreased bitcoin value. At the end by showing coin A  price at the day X converted to coin B price at SAME DAY X, it creates some unwanted interdependence with coin B price changes when looking at the price of coin A over time.

But that's what it is because most of those prices are determined by trading pairs and BTC probably has the largest number of trading pairs with different coins. So the sites also display most coin prices in sats.

I don't see the reason you should even worry about the bitcoin value of a coin at again day. Just worry about the fiat value/USD value because at the end of day if you are to cash out, it's fiat you will be handling(atleast for now).

USD/Fiat valuation feature is readily available in most of those sites.

Also market value of items is changing each day and each year. What used to cost 2 dollars a year back could now be 3 dollars(its valuation has changed and probably USD value has changed too). So comparing how it's price was with the current fiat value or fiat value at a certain specific date does not really make sense to me.

If I get this right, you want to see a historical price of some coins either in BTC or USD value? Then I believe CMC also gives you a way to do that because their chart also includes the USD price of a coin/token.

Tbh it's quite difficult to understand what you're saying here, so feel free to clarify if I don't get what you want to say.

I think I understand what you're saying.

You want to compare the ups and down of a crypto pair against a fixed price (fiat or crypto).

For example: You maybe bought BTC at $5,000 and you want to know the percentage price change over time from the day that you bought BTC at $5,000?

Is that what you mean? I think I am looking for the same tool as well.

For all the explanation you've provided to clarify the question, it is still as confusing as the OP.
But I can say that there's no such tool and if there's any, it will be unnecessary. Just select the correct pairs.

If you do not want to see a graph of Ethereum:USD without being "tainted" by Bitcoin's price,
do not select USD:BTC pair, instead select USD:ETH pair; do the same to USD:BTC.

Now, If you wanted to compare the two graphs,
Take a screenshot of the two graphs, edit the images and lower the transparency to about 50%, and place one on top of the other graph;
that way, you'll be able to see both USD equivalent prices (Although, you can just look at the separate charts).

When at a normal site you compare coin A with coin B, at sites, lets say NXT value converted to btc value, you arent converting it to a fixed value, because when you convert the coin NXT to btc you are converting btc value of the day and the value of btc (like nxt value) also changes over time.
So you mean that you are looking for a tool which you can choose a custom coin pairing? Sample XMR to NXT then you referring to the price of bitcoin?

I think there is no exchange that you can pair other coins to another coins they mostly use the major coins to be pair with another coins.

Even if the price of nxt changed but you already converted your nxt to bitcoin then the value of nxt to usd at that time is $500 then the nxt value right now is $350 for example then your btc is still at $500 value even if the value of nxt is decreased, I hope I get your point but as far as I'm concern there is no tool you can find that can compare prices but you can still compare the value by gathering information of both coin to compare.

Thinking about it, this could be done manually, with info found at some of the normal sites.

NastyFans offers this historical documentation for the BTC exchange rate. You’d need to check the altcoin sections for advice on where to find the ... other exchange rates.

coinmarketcap.com gives you the information you need. For example, here is the chart for ETH:

It shows you the price of ETH in terms of BTC in orange. You can hover over a date to get the exact price. For example, if you bought 1 ETH on Dec 8, 2017, it was worth 0.0282 BTC when you bought it. Today it is worth 0.0357 BTC. Since it is worth more BTC than when you bought it, you know that its price has gone up more (or dropped less) than BTC's price over that time period.

You mean 0.0357, don't you? I doubt anyone will consider the price against BTC only because BTC had price decreased too.

I don't know exactly what your question but I will try to help.

First, try to visit:
Code:
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nxt/historical-data/?start=20130428&end=20190301

You will find the NXT price since the first time traded in the market, and you can found that the price was changing from time to time.

Is that what you want to search?

If yes, then you can change the NXT with the other coins so you can find the changing of the price for each coin.

In that links, you see all of the prices.

But I wonder, what you are going to do with all of the data? I am curious about the next step you want to do, and I hope you can tell us so we can understand.

Yes you are right and coinmarketcap also had converter there for different coins like nxt ethereum and bitcoin. I personally use coinmarketcap cryptocurrency converter and the value is updated everytime the price has change. The best choice that the OP has is to gather data of the coin it started traded on exchange until now.
