Very interesting: Rumors are circulating that California-based cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinbase, supposedly violated its very own listing policies in order to include XRP in its trading portfolio.
On February 25, Chepicap reported that according to the Coinbase blog, XRP will soon be available for trading on Coinbase Pro.

However, rumors are now circulating that claim that Coinbase Pro has breached its very own listing policies in order to include XRP in its trading portfolio.

It did pumped XRP around 10% though after the news. The argument is that Coinbase Pro takes into account the level of team ownership, which is very questionable since XRP holds around 60% of the supply. Coinbase as per "The ownership stake retained by the team is a minority stake.". What's your take on this? Did they violated their own policy here or did they accept a paid listing here? We cannot know if that news are true or fake news only. Lets try to find out other news that really confirms to that news.
I think once the ripple pay coinbase is not good for their reputation or not helpful because I believe on the ripple coin and I think even the ripple did not pay coinbase possible it can be listed because once they see the coinbase company ripple is potential it will be listed to their wallet.

this is one of the most famous and top exchanges in my opinion and I think it would not risk such actions in order to include the ripple in your exchange, I think that this is just a rumor and it does not need to betray great importance, this is my opinion

Rumors are always fun to watch. There is always going to persist some clouds over this subject, but I don't think it has any effect on price.
It certainly has some serious effect toward the price mainly because it is going to be listed into another popular exchanges. Even some altcoin would happily pay huge amount or giving away few percent ownership of the overall token to the exchanges just for token listing. However in this case I can't clearly see Ripple did pay the coinbase to get listed however it is really common in crypto world that listing needs money ofcourse there is exception for some exchanges. |

I am not surprised to see this news about RIPple. Xrp is coin created by greedy bankers and they are ready to boost its promotions with their network. Hope they will never reach their goal and the true meaning of crypto will live forever.

We dont know that, but in my opinion Coinbase should be listed XRP because this coin has great product and technology, alot of big company has been use the product of xrapid. We can see another all big exchange has been listed XRP without any listing fee.

I also think about it we all known ripple is controlable by a bank so Im not suprissing if they paid to get listed on Coinbase Pro, whatever they did we really dont known only Coinbase known the truth,just ride the fun and make some money in this pump happen to ripple. |

but if it is reality and they did add it then yes it is a violation of their own rules although it is their own rules and they can do whatever they like with them! and exchanges have always cared about money and nothing else. XRP team paying them is a good amount of money and also it is one of the big pump and dump shitcoins which means good trading volume during pumps and also dumps and it can give them more profit.

In my belief Ripple doest not need to pay Coinbase because Ripple is already has a great place in the market it's platform is well establish already i think Ripple deserve it to be listed in Coinbase  |

Just like the rest of you guys here, we all know who are the people behind this coin and what are the intentions behinds. @Alucard2425, the issue here is whether Coinbase violated their own terms, but as others may have put it, money talks and everyone is here in the business to make more money, so I guess we can't blame Coinbase for listing them in exchange of a huge some of money. |

Without evidence, anything people say will be nothing more than speculations. The point is that, even when the rules are strict, there is always room for exceptions. It's possible that they have decided to make an exception because they expect a big trading volume if they add this coin. Furthermore, they know that they can do whatever they want, no one will care.

Who knows it maybe true,because everyone is working here for money so if there is an opportunity to make money then it may happened.But it is not going to influence the price of XRP for long term,there will be some dump due to the coinbase traders,so don't invest on XRP just because it listed on coinbase exchange.

I agree with you, Ripple has been repeatedly accused of speculation. The SEC even took up the question. And I generally heard that a lot of exchanges are against Coinbase. On all social networks a lot of hashtags that call to abandon the exchange. |

Did Ripple pay Coinbase to get XRP listed?
Ripple always give XRP to any exchange it gets listed on. Same to any other company that builds infrastructure for them. That is how their business model works. they have more then half XRP to give away still. |

What a great marketing strategy!!! They sure do their research on how to create a hype just so their coin can get a 10 percent increase in value. These are just rumors and yet it gives a boost for their coin. I hope bitcoin supporters will have this kind of ideas to pump it up and we will all be happy. Just not lies though. These are just rumors and yet it gives a boost for their coin. I hope bitcoin supporters will have this kind of ideas to pump it up and we will all be happy. Just not lies though. Something great that will blow the community and the government. I have repeatedly met information that the team of this project is trying by any means to increase the rating of their coins in the cryptocurrency market. Today, there are even bounty companies that will actually advertise coin ripples. |
