While talking about facebook, AI and future technologies the reporter asks his view on bitcoin and this is what he has to say It begins at the 4 minute mark if you just want to skip to that part of the interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2f55VpFC5oHe was wanting to own some was for experimental purposes and not to make any financial gains from purchasing it. He sold before the price went up so he didnt make anything from his holdings. But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day.

But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day.
I do not think so. When the whole world will one country, it will be possible, otherwise each country has its own arrangement, the country does not have to depend on money, but the money have to depend on country.

That right. Also in order for bitcoin to become a world's single currency I think first of all the whole population on the earth should use only one currency like EUR or USD and than make the change to bitcoin. That's seems impossible, at least for now so it also seems impossible for bitcoin to become the only currency existing.

I also disagree that bitcoin will be the world's biggest reserve currency, though I think it will be used as a reserve similar to gold. For central banks, bitcoin has the advantage in that it does not require physical space. Bitcoin will likely be used to stabilize national currencies.

This can probably explain why people like Dimon seem so irate when asked about it. They could be talking about it a lot more behind the scenes lol.
haha, Dimon loves to be asked about bitcoin. in fact i wouldn't be surprised even if he requested to be asked about bitcoin behind the scenes! they have made millions of dollars from things he has said so far, starting from the most obvious one during 2017 where he called bitcoin "fraud" and in that crash they bought a large amount of bitcoin. and now they have also created their own centralized shitcoin which they advertise, using bitcoin as an excuse.

Lol yeah maybe Dimon is actually a horrible example. I should have gone with someone like Buffett. Either way, I just wanted to point out that some people get angry when someone high profile badmouths crypto without realizing that maybe the media baits them. But eh, some media mileage is better than no media mileage I suppose.

Steve Wozniak must be one of the unluckiest people in this world. He got screwed by Steve Jobs back in the day and are valued at almost $100 million. Steve Jobs his co-founder was worth around $10.2 billion at the time of his death. Now, he invested some money into Bitcoin and sold everything before the ATH in 2017. I still remember how big a deal it was, when "Woz" announced that he bought some bitcoins back then. This guy should have been filthy rich and one of the Top 10 richest people in the world.

When the whole world will one country, it will be possible, otherwise each country has its own arrangement, the country does not have to depend on money, but the money have to depend on country. Maybe what he's trying to imply is the world's 'single digital currency' because Bitcoin is the father of cryptocurrency and the have the most biggest market cap. today. Different countries has their own currencies that's working for ages now to their cultures and I also believe that countries will not depend on a currency that's intangible.

I'm not sure we've seen tremendous value destruction, but I think we've seen tremendous value creation... Psychology often drives the market... I've never bought Bitcoin as an investor. I bought Bitcoin just to experiment, learn how to buy and sell it, and find restaurants around the world that accept it.

there no surprise that anybody with half a brain would see the true potential in bitcoin as a decentralized currency that is unique in our world. and someone like Steve Wozniak is one of the experts who see the true potential in things that is why he was involved in Apple in first place while others were sleeping on that opportunity.

Unlike Warren Buffet, Steve Wozniak is pro Bitcoin. The fact that such powerful and successful individuals are discussing BTC is achievement on its own.

He sold before the price went up so he didnt make anything from his holdings. But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day. Steve Wozniak didn't say positive things about crypto for the first time. Even back in June 4th, 2018, Steve made the below quoted statement during an interview with CNBC, Bitcoin is mathematically defined, there is a certain quantity of bitcoin, there’s a way it’s distributed… and it’s pure and there’s no human running, there’s no company running and it’s just… growing and growing… and surviving, that to me says something that is natural and nature is more important than all our human conventions. He is one of the popular crypto enthusiast who actually thinks positive about crypto technology and its future. If you want to read this previous statement, see the link below, https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/04/apple-co-founder-steve-wozniak-hopes-bitcoin-will-become-global-currency.html

I wouldn't agree with that. People just give too much attention and importance to the statements of different CEOs, so called experts and similar. But don't forget that in first place they speak because of their own promotion and interests, not because of Bitcoin. And in some other occasion they will say something else, so why bothering at all.

Remember that common sense isn't so common. It is an easy job to educate those kinds of people about the underlying technologies, and what is the benefit of Bitcoin in economy/ financial space. But what the problem is to increase adoption we need to create a friendlier environment to the people. Some tech-savvy guys will sure know the potential of Bitcoin, but for the majority of the people, they are illiterate about cryptocurrencies.

Steve Wozniak isn't pro Bitcoin, he just likes the general idea of it. Being pro Bitcoin isn't all that pro Bitcoin when you take into consideration that he sold the few coins he bought for experimental purposes. He didn't even try Lightning Network, not even mentioned it, while it's one of the most importantant things that Bitcoin has going for it as we speak. If Bitcoin will be that world currency one day, Lightning will play an important role here. Ignoring it just points out how much he's interested in Bitcoin.

He was right to say that it would be the only currency in the future. But he was wrong before he did not believe in Bitcoin and sold it before it rose. This is a valuable lesson for him to learn how to earn more money in Cryptocurrency is never give up.

I don't aline myself in the body of people who think bitcoin will become one generally used currency. That means we are likely to have one country either called,l "global country" for that to be visible, because countries would like to retain their identity if they are still existing as one country individually.
