But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day.
I do not think so. When the whole world will one country, it will be possible, otherwise each country has its own arrangement, the country does not have to depend on money, but the money have to depend on country. I do agree. It is impossible currently for the world to shift the fiat system to a digitalized transactions due to economic discrepancies present among first world and third-world countries. In addition, the difference in technological advancements, infrastructures, and economic condition is greatly overwhelming that third-world countries are in the burden of providing their own resources in accessing bitcoin. Not to mention, they have different priorities compared to first world countries (first-world problems meme). Although a digitalized form of payment may seem impossible, we may see this inevitable change in the future once all countries are capable of utilizing such. Unlike Warren Buffet, Steve Wozniak is pro Bitcoin. The fact that such powerful and successful individuals are discussing BTC is achievement on its own.
It is indeed an achievement and another milestone reached in terms of its reputation. Maybe in the near future, we might see a collaboration by Apple which may affect the price of bitcoins in the future.

While talking about facebook, AI and future technologies the reporter asks his view on bitcoin and this is what he has to say It begins at the 4 minute mark if you just want to skip to that part of the interview. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2f55VpFC5oHe was wanting to own some was for experimental purposes and not to make any financial gains from purchasing it. He sold before the price went up so he didnt make anything from his holdings. But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day. It's funny how people in the technological industry seems to be veering in favor of bitcoin like wozniak and musk, compared to businessmen like warren buffet and jamie dimon. Wozniak probably sees the potential of crypto way beyond it's monetary value.

Hearing or seeing some news that experts just like CEO of Apple Steve Wozniak, tried to use digital currency and their views about it makes us have some hopes that it's price will not remain still and will become normal someday. They are very strategic with their decisions. So amazing.

I liked his reaction that we saw not value destruction but value creation. He's a good guy. For him Bitcoin is not like stock for trading, it's a nice technology and the future of money. I wish more people thought this way. He also respects privacy and protection of personal data and encourages regulation of violation of them. As it stands right now it would be impossible for bitcoin to be the world's single currency. It can't handle that many transactions per second to handle all the commerce in the world.
I am also not sure bitcoin can make it as a single currency, not without solving scalability issues. However, maybe it's not impossible to solve them after all.

People just give too much attention and importance to the statements of different CEOs, so called experts and similar.
Same logic as those selling books of billionaires' way of life and how they got their money. People follow where success is, and even though the person talking doesn't really know much about the subject, people would still believe them no matter what. That's the influence billionaires have on average Joes. But don't forget that in first place they speak because of their own promotion and interests, not because of Bitcoin. And in some other occasion they will say something else, so why bothering at all.
Partly true, but some are really towards the welfare of the people. One fine example is Elon Musk. The dude is not perfect, but really speaks for what he thinks is the best for most people.

"World single currency? "Nah, I also disagree with most people here. To make Bitcoin the world single currency, there will be an elimination of different cultures and beliefs to make it make it one which is quite impossible. What we should be hoping for is a situation whereby Bitcoin is acceptable in every state.

But he says he sees it as the worlds single currency one day.
If he had said this before then I guess he took it back now. I wonder if its true that he sold out all the bitcoin he had and never get into it again. Its possible because after all he has more things to do than put all his strength into crypto. If Wozniak had once tried trading cryptocurrency then he must feel the thrill of this market, I doubt if he can resist the thrill.

Search for opinion of analysts who do not have any bitcoin and do not use bitcoin, Search for opinion of technology genius that has no bitcoin and does not use bitcoin, it's unnecessary and unproductive. Let's be honest, the guy does not have bitcoin and the guy does not use bitcoin so what kind of influence or inspiration could this guy bring to the crypto world? he brings nothing. it would not do any good for the crypto world, unless it had bitcoin, got involved with the crypto community and used bitcoin

That's good to see a positive thought on the bitcoin from a technology person. Also it is completely his own view upon making small investments on bitcoin as well on his usage on varied platforms. I have only one thing against the statement, when it is unable to unite every country into a single one it isn't possible to make bitcoin the world's single currency. Maybe it can be used on the perspective of a virtual currency for cross border transactions while each country have their own cryptocurrency for transaction within the country.

Sucks that he sold his holdings way before it even got to the ath. I don't exactly see him being pro bitcoin but he definitely see the uses and how it can be a better system than fiat.
Whether it's become a single currency however is a different matter. Using it as a digital gold maybe a more possible scenario.

As long as bitcoin becomes worldwide accepted, that will be enough. It doesn't matter if other coins coexist, but knowing you can travel anywhere and they will accept your bitcoins is going to change things and pave the way for major adoption.
Say goodbye to banks and foreign currency exchanges, earn bitcoins and pay bitcoins, worldwide. It might with time become a de facto world coin...

Does any of you really believe Wozniak when he says he's in for the technology? He was in it for the money that's why he sold early when we went into the bear market and didn't buy back, even when we were scraping the bottom at 3000. Wozniak is launching his own project with the money he got from trading. It's all to make more money not to make the financial sector decentralized.

Steve Wozniak must be a pretty unlucky person for having to sell his bitcoins for no profit price. Although he bought it for experimental purposes, it surely didn't make him any profits. Besides that, I wonder what experiment did he wanted to do with bitcoin . His insight to see bitcoin as an only global currency is far too beyond in the future. I think he could have been a little more realistic before making such statements.

Uhm... For me it's hard to see bitcoin as a world's single currency. There's fiat and it will be hard to adapt digital currency to all country. If its possible, it would take more years. Thinking about what he sees, countries have different currency. For them to use one currency, it needs unity and then make it digital. Its kinda hard to see that the whole world would be united as one and decided to use one currency.

Hey Steve has been a bitcoin proponent for a very long time now, he has openly suggested people to be invested in it. While I like the fact bitcoins is being backed by him, but bitcoins prices can never be normal bitcoins prices will always remain volatile never forget that. Also I do not think his statement about bitcoins becoming one single currency for all countries will ever come true, as many countries have banned bitcoins.

What Steve Wozniak said's merely the nature of his support for the development of cryptocurrencies, and it will not bring any change especially as a single world currency because whatever he says, everything will return to the power of its users along with rules/restrictions imposed by the government. But even so, what Steve Wozniak said will hopefully come true as expected by crypto users especially bitcoin users.

I do not think it ever will, the dollar and pounds that are one if not the strongest and most stable Fiat currencies have not been able to dominate the world and make their currency the only one in the world. It's just not possible, there are so many countries in the world, and all this nations have their different currencies, different economies etc, no currency can lead the world and the bitcoin isn't even close to being one. And on a second thought there is no reason why we should want that, as long as bitcoin can be used in all the countries of the world, not as the first currency, but an alternative, then I think we've achieved so much if that happens
