Twitter is really a pain in the ass now. My account got blocked for every 2 days even I don't tweet anything. Personally, I make a thread on my local board to inform my peers about this site, but it is almost impossible to tell everyone directly. So I guess we can only report this site to Google to prevent being shown on their search results.

Honestly if such website with such URL actually successfully scammed you(not referring to OP) then you deserve to be scammed. Nothing is seriously more obvious than that.

I really douby the 2.39BTC was actually stolen. The address shown may be the site owner's personal wallet. If this website is only being spread out through Twitter, I doubt it would get any significant traction. I refuse to think that people still click some random link from some random Twitter account even now in 2019.


EDIT: I've tried the website just to test. Not saying that this site is legit, but it seems to be showing the correct QR code(both the QR code displayed, and the QR code downloaded) as the address I've entered. Only tried it once though.

Mkay. So I tried it more than once and it did work fine at first but later on I've noticed that I'm always redirected to https://[site]/qr3.php which by default has 32ueQe.....xeBrf address and its qr code. Do note that the address in address field won't change to the one you entered so it's fairly easy to spot if you double check, so make it a habit everyone.

@op if you search "report scam links" in google, there's a lot that will show up but I doubt they would do anything if only a few number of ppl report it. The best course would be to spread it on forums/sns and maybe ask ppl to also vote.

This is an example of what's happening:
1. I copy my BTC address
2. I paste it in their site and click GENERATE
3. Booom! It automatically change the address I paste to 32ueQev4wTXHmWGpR1GkTVfhABdw1xeBrf
4. IMPORTANT: Not only that, my address which I copied was changed to that address too (double kill if you'll just paste again that address without checking and make a transaction)



Another thing, when I used it for ethereum, I saved the code and surprised that I got bitcoin qr code with their address. That was pretty obvious and nobody will fall for that, however, not the same case when someone generates a bitcoin qr code and didn't check. Always be extra careful and don't forget to double check everything!

It is selective. There are times that it shows the right address and other times a wrong address. Have been discussed here too before.

Same with the ethereum, tried too many times with different eth addy, but still the same address appears 0xCfCbf5607eA01766c205c3Fc9267e399D5b2da85.

I stop when I tried a different dogecoin address, this address always shows DTcmAJVBSqWGq5qUXmsse2r35oPE73jd27, never tried in litecoin.
