The prominent President of Russia by the name Vladimir Putin has given instructions to the Government of Russia to accept some of the federal laws. These are the laws linked to Cryptocurrency.

Furthermore, federal laws must be adopted by July 2019. In Russia, the definition of computerized financial assets was widened some time back to incorporate Cryptocurrencies.

This order is similar to Vladimir Putin’s Cryptocurrency regulation order he declared last year, 2018.

LOL. I really don't understand why up to this day, Russia hasn't made any headway as far as cryptocurrency is, but the simple answer is that they really are anti-crypto so I don't know if this is just a publicity stunt of part of Putin. They have made their U-turn in 2017 as far as I know so I wouldn't be excited by this so called New Order, it will end up the same, their parliament won't accept it.

What is the point of a centralized crypto-currency?  Crypto under the control of one person, one government or one small group is pretty pointless.

I don't even think that the cryptocurrency law enforcement there in Russia is that serious. If you always look at cryptocurrency related websites (especially HYIPs, Faucets, and cloudmining) you will always see Russia belonging to the top 5 countries in terms of traffic, some HYIP sites are even created by Russians. Also the Russian board here in the forum is very active and is the top merited local board in the forum. Putin's answer is only just making things official as he know it himself that they are not doing anything to enforce their own laws.

many hyip ponzi sites are created by russians

Many scam ICOs are created by Russians

Many legitimate ICOs are created by Russians

many Russians invest in Hyip/ponzi sites and they invest using cryptos

Previously, the Russian Minister of Justice argued that the ministry does not see the need to legally define the concept of cryptocurrency, since cryptocurrencies cannot be used as a payment method in the country.

Russian President Putin Orders Government to Adopt Crypto Regulation by July 2019

I do not even understand why they are still wasting time with the Russian government.

I'm utterly fucking bored of Russia and crypto. One day we're told Vlad is about to put himself on the blockchain,  the next we're told that if you download a wallet there the government will insert a glass rod in your urethra and snap it.

I hope they get left in the dust for their laughable lack of consistency. I'll believe this when I see it.

Well I have been conservative when I said "some" of them are created by Russians as I don't want to offend our fellow Russian members here in the forum. But the truth is a lot of this scams and frauds are coming from Russia and that only points out that the Russian government doesn't really care about the enforcement of their laws and prohibition. So far I haven't seen any major news regarding how they comprehend this criminals in their country as I always see news about regulations and some bullshit that really don't show any progress at all.

Any Russian scumbag person knows perfectly well they're never getting extradited so the rest of the world is their playground. The Russian state sanctions murder, parades the suspects and no one else can do shit. No way will they care about dirty foreigners getting rinsed.

Something incomprehensible is happening in this Russia. Putin has already issued a similar order for the second time about the need to adopt laws relating to cryptocurrency, and the Minister of Justice immediately comes forward and says that these laws are not to be adopted. Putin, it seems, does not respect himself once permits this in his government.
I look forward to the adoption in Russia of a prepared bill on the regulation of ICO activities. I liked this project, although it provides for restrictions on fund-raising, which means a significant limitation in the earnings of bounty hunters, but it also includes such measures. which will almost completely eliminate fraud in the ICO.
However, I am very skeptical about the possibility of giving the people of Russia the right to freely use a decentralized cryptocurrency. With the current leadership in Russia this is impossible.

I'm sure that Vladimir Putin doesn't give a f*ck about cryptocurrencies and blockchain. He probably has some high tech experts in his team that advise him about what to do with the crypto legislation.
Russia isn't important for crypto anyway,so I don't care if they ban cryptocurrency trading and mining or not.

It's very interesting to see if Russia Federation realize this plan. I think the regulation is not bad thing and all goverments do this eventually.
